VinePair is looking for a motivated Social Media Content Creator to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who’s a hard worker with a great attitude and can generate endless ideas. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic drinks-lover to gain experience in social media and digital media. The ideal person is passionate about VinePair’s mission, “Drinking is Culture,” and will contribute their creativity to continue to grow this dynamic publication.
Job Requirements Include
• Create content and assets to use across social channels, including but not limited to: posts, memes, videos (in-studio, on-location), stories/themes
• Work with editorial, tasting, and marketing teams to write scripts for social-first videos including recipes, explainers, reviews, and other formats
• Pitch scripts and ideas for video concepts
• Accompany VinePair’s Creative Producer of Photo and Video on bar/restaurant shoots. Duties range from reading scripts, holding lighting structures, or simply assisting with equipment carrying
• Attend social pitch meetings and other potential meetings that will help to further support functions of the role
• Contribute to branded content/partnerships as needed
Qualifications
• Experience creating content for social media platforms in a professional capacity
• Deeply familiar with the ins-and-outs of social platforms and features
• Enthusiastic about supporting VinePair’s editorial, marketing, and art departments
• Resourceful and independent (doesn’t require micro-management)
• Basic knowledge of core design programs such as Photoshop
• Enthusiastic about wine, beer, spirits, and drinking culture
• Ability to meet deadlines and stay organized
Additional requirements
• Must be able to work 4 days a week in our NYC offices
• Must present proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster
• Must love dogs (our offices are dog friendly!)

• 1-3 years writing and/or editing experience, bonus points if in the wine, beer, or spirits space
• Flawless grammar and spelling
• Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
• Passion for journalism, not just book-report writing
• Knowledge of Wordpress a plus
