Speech Language Pathologists at Light Shine work with children in their home (either in person or virtually) and assess and treat speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-communication disorders as specified for the student in their Individualized Education Plan. Speech Language Pathologists are also required to report on goals every marking period, update the IEP team when needed on progress of their student and attend IEP meetings (if possible). Speech Language Pathologists are never the Case Manager of their student(s) and are not responsible for preparing the IEP in it's entirety or scheduling IEP meetings.
PA Speech Therapist license and PA Instructional Certification is required. One year of relevant experience with children is preferred. A clean background check is necessary (FBI fingerprints, Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal History check).

About the Opportunity
• Provide high quality virtual speech-language therapy services to a wide variety of students in West Virginia
• Conduct standard and non-standardized assessments, analyze results and write reports to determine strengths and concerns in the areas of motor speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, literacy, and dysphagia
• Develop treatment plans that are strength based as well as child and family centered
• Ensure that IEP, Evaluation and progress monitoring procedures adhere to the district, state and federal guidelines
• Collect ongoing daily data and adapt treatment accordingly based on trends in student performance
