Visit Howard County's Office of Human Resources is seeking an HRIS Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the HRIS Manager to manage the County-wide HRIS platform systems, perform data management, and update employee records. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the HRIS Manager to manage the County-wide HRIS platform systems, perform data management, and update employee records. Your contributions will streamline existing business processes and enhance services through self-serve components.
In this role... you can expect to have the responsibilities:
• Assist the manager in managing the HRIS program, including system administration, data validation, and integration of HRIS platform with other County databases
• Analyze and evaluate internal business processes, develop recommendations for improvements, and maintain business requirement and training documents
• Collaborate with the manager and end-users to identify system requirements, recommend user-focused platforms/processes, and resolve business unit issues
• Maintain data integrity by running queries, analyzing and correcting pay anomalies and errors
• Validate pay scale changes and update pay scales in Enterprise HR
• Ensure all changes adhere to the County's Pay Plan and Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Review and update personnel actions to ensure compliance with County policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Serve as a liaison between the HRIS team and payroll managers and employees
• Develop custom and ad hoc reports using ADP Reporting (ADPR) to assist management in compliance reporting and workforce planning
• Address daily operational issues and propose corrective actions to the manager
• Document new processes and procedures for end-users
• Coordinate employment separations and leave accrual issues with the County's payroll office
• Respond to unemployment claims and assist with researching Maryland Public Information Act requests
• Ensure oversight and confidentiality of employment records and databases
• Lead HRIS projects involving cross-functional teams and related projects
This role requires you to have:
• HRIS administration and data management
• Analytical skills and ability to evaluate business processes
• Knowledge of payroll and employee records management
• Data analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
