Summary of Job Responsibilities: Responsible for volunteer coordination of volunteer services within Generations’ service area, specifically those with workplans in the Americorp Seniors RSVP grant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)

Program Responsibilities.
• Processes applications and provides orientation to volunteers. Responsible for training volunteers on program expectations, liability issues and resources available.
• Responsible for recruiting volunteers for the projects listed in the RSVP grant by communicating with service organizations, churches, school groups, etc.
• Responsible for creating public awareness of the program within their counties.
• Maintains communication with the volunteers as needed.
• Assists with long-range planning for development and expansion of RSVP programs.
• Develops and maintains contact list for volunteer recruitment and community resources.
• Develops and maintains a list of volunteers willing to do one-time projects or those who possess special talents (i.e. evidenced based classes).
• Train in evidenced based programs offered by Generations and help facilitate those programs.
• Collects completed hour reports for the volunteer program.
• Promotes the volunteer program through media using approved marketing materials.
• Assists with the planning and execution of special events as needed to support the RSVP programs.
• Helps plan and coordinate annual volunteer recognition.
• Attends related meetings as scheduled by the Director of Planning and Community Development or RSVP Director.

Agency Responsibilities:
• Adhere to the Generations Code of Ethics.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Potentially work during non-business hours, weather closure days or a Vincennes University holiday.
• Coordinate with and provide assistance to other Generations staff that support projects of the RSVP grant and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain an effective professional relationship with community resources, providers of service and other staff.

Education and/or Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Work experience and background with seniors and/or volunteerism preferred.

· Reside in or volunteer or work experience in Greene County

Miscellaneous:

· Professional attitude and willingness to maintain confidentiality.

· Flexible to meet continuous program and job responsibility changes.

· Strong organizational and communication skills required.

· Ability to perceive community needs as they relate to volunteer programs.

Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit for 1-2 hours of time. Use hands and/or fingers to feel or handle tools, objects, controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must physically be able to meet the demands of home visits. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Vincennes University's Information Technology Department is seeking applicants to fill the position of Faculty in Information Technology. This is a nine-month position with fringe benefits. The individual will be responsible for teaching courses within the following degree programs: Networking and Security, Computer Science – Game Development, Programming, Cyber Security, and Information Technology. The standard teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester including day, night and possibly weekend classes. The successful applicant must be willing to travel throughout the state from time to time to work with our Dual Credit Partners.

(Game Development)-Expertise and industry experience in programming applications using the following languages such as: Python, C#, Objective C, and Java. Proficient knowledge of IDEs such as X-Code, Android Studio, Visual Studio, Blender, and Unity is required. Strong understanding of the SDLC and programming design, logic and methodology will be required of this position.

(Networking or Cyber)-Experience in Operating Systems, Networking Administration, LAN/WAN configuration, Routing and Switching, Network Security, Cyber Security/Policy Standards and Regulations at an enterprise level. Cisco credentialed instructor is a plus. Industry application of cyber security risk mitigation and response is desired.

Experience with Blackboard is a plus. The successful candidate will advise students in the Information Technology Department, will participate in departmental, divisional, and University committee work, and will participate in recruitment and retention activities. The successful candidate will also be actively involved in the Vincennes University assessment process, and will be familiar with the NICE/NIST Framework and ACBSP accreditation requirements. The individual will be able to articulate a full understanding of, and an appreciation of, a comprehensive and open-door community college philosophy.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Master’s degree in an Information Technology or related field or a BS in Information Technology field with a significant IT related experience
• Experience as a productive team member.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in the information technology field.
• Certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.
