Job Summary/Description:

WALB News 10 in Albany, Georgia is looking for a Lifestyle Show Producer/Reporter to join our award-winning team in Albany. This producer will have multiple roles, including producing our half-hour lifestyle show called Town and Country, writing and editing, setting up interview segments, and doing feature reporting that may air in multiple shows, on multiple formats.

Duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

We ask producers to ''own'' their shows - to have a creative vision, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. This is a newly created position for a new show launch, so we need this person to commit to a contract. It's an incredible opportunity on a fun, creative program. Working for a dominant legacy station that covers dozens of counties in South Georgia, you have the opportunity to inform, enlighten, and entertain our viewers, who consider WALB to be their Hometown News Source.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Education background in either journalism or communications.

We're looking for an aggressive leader who will represent all things digital at all times.

Job Summary/Description:

WALB is seeking a passionate journalist to join our dominant news team as Executive Producer of Investigations. As such, you will oversee and manage investigative reports from a team of reporters, and will produce some of your own.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Gathering data and relevant information on local and national newsworthy events.
- Responsible for managing content across multiple platforms.
- Develop and maintain a network of news sources to create exclusive local news content.
- Stay current on both local and national news events
- Work cross functionally and cooperatively as a team member under tight deadlines
- Ability to read and understand a variety of materials ranging from daily newspapers/news sites, professional journals, technical reports and legal documents
- Ability to interpret information to establish facts and determine truth.
- Manage a team of reporters, understanding where and how to get information, as well as the legal ramifications and protocols needed to follow when producing sensitive materials.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- At least two years experience reporting investigative content, with proof of performance.
- Basic understanding of windows based electronics and the ability to learn ENPS as well as new systems as they are implemented.
