A Day in the Life –

The Counsel – Securities & Registered Funds provides legal services on securities and regulatory matters relating to the registration and operation of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and variable insurance products, and provides advice regarding compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940 (“40 Act”). Skill sets served include but are not limited to someone with a minimum of 6 years of experience in ’40 Act company matters supporting all legal needs/requirements of a diversified mutual fund complex, including familiarity with funds investing in equity, fixed income, money market and alternative investments and the legal requirements relating thereto.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Advises Touchstone Securities, Inc. and Touchstone Advisors, Inc. on legal matters relating to the Touchstone mutual funds and exchange-traded funds with moderate direct supervision.
• Drafts legal documents and required filings with the SEC required in connection with the registration of various types of funds and variable insurance products; communicates with the SEC on filing comments.
• Completes SEC filing requirements with respect to registration statements, annual and semi-annual reports, prospectus updates, proxy statement and registration of fund shares with moderate direct supervision. Is responsible for routine SEC filings with little to no direct supervision. Assists with management of legal responsibilities delegated to transfer agent.
• Assists the fund board secretary with board governance matters, including development of board materials and review of meeting minutes; functions as acting secretary as needed.

Desired Competencies and Skills:
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of securities law and mutual fund operations.
• Demonstrated strong contract drafting, and verbal and written communication skills to internal and external customers in a clear, accurate, focused and concise manner.
• Proven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying, defining and resolving complex problems, and collecting, quantifying or interpreting data to establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide creative resolutions.
• Demonstrated experience in a corporate legal department and/or law firm, working with partners and also independently with clients on complex matters.
• Juris Doctor Degree in law from accredited law school and above average class standing.

A Day in the Life –

The Senior Financial Accountant performs complex Enterprise financial accounting and/or budgeting and cost accounting, reporting and analysis. This position is responsible for preparing complex general ledger accounting entries, regulatory, internal, and external reporting, and executes comprehensive variance analysis. Skill sets served include but are not limited to someone with 2-5 years of related experience with demonstrated working knowledge of utilizing and applying statutory and GAAP accounting rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepares complex general ledger accounting entries for life insurance subsidiaries and non-life entities, on both a statutory and GAAP basis.
• Partners with organizational peers to present results to department leadership and BU analysts to support business unit decision-making, budget analysis and strategic initiatives.
• Leads targeted departmental initiatives and is a resource on large-scale enterprise initiatives as well as coordination with external stakeholders on department projects (i.e., auditors).
• Performs complex account reconciliations in order to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Identifies accounting issues impacting the insurance and non-life companies, researches and escalates issues.

Desired Competencies and Skills:
• Typically having two to five years of related experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge, understanding and experience interpreting, utilizing and applying statutory and GAAP accounting rules and regulations. Cite examples that demonstrate proficiency in this area.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and apply a broad business perspective in summarizing results.
• Proficient in general ledger accounting and spreadsheet applications.
• Certified Public Accountant or MBA preferred

A Day in the Life –

The Server/Prep is responsible for assisting in the daily food production and service of approximately 2,000 meals per day. Skill sets served include but are not limited to someone with 1-2 years of experience operating, cleaning, and servicing food service equipment as well as proven knowledge of food service and production.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Reviews recipes, menus and changes before pulling the following day’s ingredient cart, and prepares daily food and supply requisitions according to forecasted menus for each position.
• Processes produce and cold foods following Western & Southern (W&S) and Safe Serve procedures.
• Communicates during service time with the kitchen, supervisors and cafeteria associates to ensure that ample foods are stocked and ready for quick, uninterrupted service.
• Serves entrée and soups according to (W&S) standards.
• Maintains, cleans and stocks all beverage equipment, including soda, coffee, tea and ice machines according to (W&S) standards.

Desired Competencies and Skills:
• Proven experience and knowledge of table serving, food service or food service production.
• Proven experience working effectively within a team. Must provide examples of working with others under difficult situations toward a desired outcome.
• Ability to stand continuously, walk, reach, bend, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift a maximum of 35 lbs. unassisted and up to 50 lbs. assisted.
• Safe Serve Certified within six months of date of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.
