KDVR Fox 31 in Denver and KWGN/Colorado's Own Channel 2 has an immediate opening for an experienced Meteorologist to anchor weekend mornings, and report three mornings a week.

This is an extremely rare opportunity in a great city with an excellent quality of life.

We are looking for a Meteorologist who is passionate about weather. You'll be on-air for 4 hours every Saturday and Sunday morning and report LIVE three mornings a week for FOX31 Morning News and Daybreak on 2.

The successful candidate must know how to make the forecast presentable and interesting and love to produce weather in different ways. You should be able to produce creative graphics and make your show interesting, urgent, and impactful. We're looking for someone who breaks the mold on the way weather has been presented for decades.

You should have great live reporting skills. When weather is a BIG story in the morning, you'll be on it. Tracking those crazy Colorado weather conditions from our Pinpoint Weather Beast or out in the elements. You'll also be assigned other enterprise, spot and breaking news coverage as it happens.

You should be extremely savvy with social media and web posting. Knowledge of mountain meteorology and Colorado a big plus.

Requirements
• Anchoring weathercasts on weekend morning newscasts.
• Fill-in meteorologist duties on weekday and weekend newscasts
• Contribute to and engage on all station social/digital platforms
• Contribute to partner radio stations
• LIVE reporting three days a week on weather and news on FOX31 Morning News and Daybreak on 2
• Live field reporting from our EXCLUSIVE Weather BEAST!
• Some short-notice schedule changes to allow you to cover breaking weather on newscasts
• Reel must include a full weathercast and examples of your reporting
Qualifications
• College degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science or related field of study preferred
• Certified Broadcast designation from AMS and/or NWA
• Ideal candidate will be familiar with WSI Max technology and virtual reality
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Broadcast Meteorologist a must
• LIVE reporting experience a must
• Must be proficient on all social media platforms
• Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to solve problems quickly
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, weekends & ON CALL shifts
• Must be able to work under deadlines and have the ability to multi-task
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for, repairs and maintenance of processing, packaging, and associated down-line equipment, in the assigned area, to assure the line(s) are running at optimum efficiently. Performs mechanical, process/electronic control, repairs to all production related equipment to ensure continuous operation and production while optimizing line efficiency.
ASEPTIC AREA: Touch-screens, flow meters, RTD's, PLC's, pressure transducers, micro switches, magnetic sensors, relay, timers, frequency drives, motor starters, soft start, Elopaks, Scholles, robots, pumps and processing equipment, packaging equipment, and other associated equipment as needed within the area.
PRE-COOKED: Touch-screens, flow meters, RTD's, PLC's, , pressure transducers, micro switches, magnetic sensors, relay, timers, frequency drives, motor starters, soft start, natural gas burners, and burner controls, process heat and cooling controls, ovens, freezers, robots, pumps and processing equipment, packaging equipment, and other associated equipment within the area.
An understanding of and the ability to troubleshoot touch-screens, I/O devices and PLC's is required.
A basic understanding and ability to trouble-shoot high voltage starters, frequency drives, motors and their control circuits.
Communicate effectively between other shifts/team members regarding operating settings, repairs, and PM tasks that are necessary for continuous operating systems.
Assist in installation of new equipment and electrical/electronic equipment
Informs Maintenance Lead of any problems encountered, and day to day activities and be able to recommend possible solution options for problems that arise.
Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
