The editor has a knack for identifying and producing quality reference and guide information, and the editorial processes associated with them.
The candidate should be capable at all levels of the editing process:
copy editing and proofreading, line editing, and structural content editing, with a knack for working with writers.
It's a bonus if the candidate resides in the New York City area, but if you demonstrate the ability to be a quality dependable editor -- anywhere.
For the work schedule, we are initially seeking 25-30 hours per month of availability, and are flexible in the work arrangement, as our editorial process is outside of the breaking news cycle.
Tech-savviness (particularly, experience with Google docs, metadata entry, Microsoft Word, CRMs, WordPress) is a plus.
