WHO WE NEED

As Product Expert Contractor, you serve as the first point of contact for client requests on the Personify Wild Apricot product team. With care, technological curiosity, and excellent customer service, you engage with clients to understand and address their challenges, requests, and ideas. An advocate for both clients and the product, you work closely with the Personify Wild Apricot Consulting team, as well as the Product and Development teams.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with clients through responsiveness, expertise and awesome customer service

WHAT YOU BRING
• Relevant work experience preferred
• Strong technical skills with the following: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Outlook
• Experience with HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with SQL desired
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with all levels of staff
• Capability to manage up and escalate as needed depending on the situation
• Prior experience supporting software applications desired
• Experience working at or with trade associations or professional societies is a plus
• Aptitude to multi-task and prioritize while staying organized and managing time effectively
• Capacity to handle difficult situations effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to understand technical jargon and communicate it to clients who have limited technical knowledge
• Capability to think and act independently and apply critical thinking

As a Technical Writer you'll be responsible for updating and maintaining our online help resources. From help articles to product walkthroughs your role will be to intercept as many support requests as possible. Through deep analysis of how and why our customers use our products and help resources you will help ensure our customers have a seamless experience with our product.

WHO YOU ARE

You have an eye for design and enjoying streamlining things for others. A natural teacher, you identify the best ways to communicate technical jargon to the broader population in a much more digestible fashion.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Updating online help and support FAQs
• Create release notes for new releases
• Analyzing metrics based on usage of online help
• Create product walk throughs to help intercept support requests

WHAT YOU BRING
• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
• 2+ years working in a SaaS company
• 2+ years writing experience
• Zendesk experience preferred

Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain the Wild Apricot account, including ongoing organization and maintenance of user profiles, account security, content management and reporting.
• Provide technical support and training to staff members on the Wild Apricot platform, including troubleshooting related issues.
• Customize the Wild Apricot page according to changing needs and requirements.
• Create and organize new user accounts and provide access to the Wild Apricot platform for internal and external parties.
• Develop and execute reports from the Wild Apricot platform to provide accurate insights into customer and user activity.
• Keep up to date with all new features and functionality including upcoming updates.
• Manage and maintain integrated software applications for the Wild Apricot platform.
• Act as a customer service point of contact when needed and handle associated customer service inquiries promptly.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Proven work experience as a Wild Apricot Administrator
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript and web technologies
• Understanding of web security principles
• Familiarity with SQL, API and other technical aspects of web development
