About the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest

The Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest is the largest and oldest of the four cross-disciplinary centers at Hampden-Sydney. Named for the 22nd president of the College, Lieutenant General Samuel Vaughan Wilson, the Center prepares students across all academic fields for consequential lives of civic leadership and public service. Graduates from the Center serve at all levels of government as well as in business and the non-profit sector.
