About The Job

The Core Developer team is seeking a Product Management leader who will lead the organization in the development, strategy, and execution across the First-Party (1P) Developer product set that internal developers use to build Google and products.

As Vice President, Product Management, First-Party, Developer, you will be responsible for product strategy and implementation, and evolving the current tools and time to develop. You will set the outlook for the next iteration of our solution provider approach with a focus on the underlying technology of Google’s design and build platforms to improve developer’s user journeys through a human-centered, design point of view. This effort spans across all Google product leaders and you will influence at the most executive levels of the organization.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $550,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
• Set the outlook and strategy and lead a multi-year product roadmap for First-Party Developer.
• Inspire innovation that results in product transformation, drives improvements in First-Party Developer technology, and addresses gaps and opportunities across product experiences.
• Partner closely with leaders across Google to create, drive, and deliver innovative, compelling, and user-friendly products for our developers across all platforms.
• Ensure product strategy links to Third-Party (i.e. external developer) solutions, driving success for First-Party and Third-Party populations.
• Develop and grow leadership talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies for key talent in a fast growth, highly competitive economic environment.
