Teaching will involve the... delivery of architectural modules on the fully RIBA validated and ARB prescribed undergraduate course and on the newly developed post graduate provision. Due to the highly student-focussed nature of our activities, you will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and to cooperate wholeheartedly with other staff in the School in their wide-ranging activities. Contribution to the School research and industry engagement portfolio is expected as well as contributing to recruitment, marketing, transnational education and other business activities within the School.

You must have good design practice experience in a relevant subject area and must be professionally qualified as an Architect holding a recognised qualification (such as ARB/RIBA). • Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) qualification or working towards is essential.
• Membership of CEnv (Chartered Environmentalist) is also essential, full membership of IEMA would be ideal.
• Demonstrable understanding of sustainability and the circular economy.
• Experience working on sustainability matters and strategies (i.e. carbon foot printing, life cycle assessment, sustainability reporting, sustainability data analysis, environmental policy, environmental education/engagement).
• Experience in the management of complex construction projects would be ideal.
• A deep understanding of energy contracting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written and to present coherent arguments to achieve the desired outcome with a variety of stakeholders.
• Significant experience of managing budgets and financial resources.
• Excellent organisational skills with demonstrable experience of planning the delivery of service and events.
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing teams and various stakeholder groups through change.
• Good standard of IT literacy together with Planning and Project Management Software.
