Job Summary/Description:
WOWT in Omaha, NE is seeking a morning news Executive Producer. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader able to inspire and coach a team of journalists. The EP will be aggressive on breaking news and weather, able to execute our brand strategy, and has a keen eye for showcasing.
Duties/Responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
• Coordinate newscast content and presentation across multiple platforms
• Supervise, guide, and teach producers, and on-air talent
• Enhance and support content with graphics, video, and station branding
• Review content for multiple platforms
• Supervise pre-production to ensure quality and ethical standards and coordination between Media Control Center and design staff
• Supervise the writing of content
• Manage performance for assigned direct reports
• Post content to station's websites
• Knowledge and demonstration of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
• Create tactics and strategies to increase demo performance in key target areas for multiple platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must have a keen sense of logistics and the ability to work successfully in challenging situations, strong leadership skills, and news judgment
• 3 years experience as a Producer in a larger market or 2 years experience as an Executive Producer in a small size market
• Newsroom-deadline driven and fast-paced

• Coordinate newscast content and presentation across multiple platforms
• Supervise, guide, and teach producers, and on-air talent
• Enhance and support content with graphics, video, and station branding

Description:
• * The Digital Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of WOWT NBC Omahas digital advertising and Omaha Everyday platforms. The expectation is to exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals. Act as the Digital Point Person for all communication with Gray Digital Media, WOWT Advertising Sales staff and clients.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Manages the Sales Team to achieve budget, both Agency and New Direct business
- Maintains an effective call report system to ensure proper development of new and existing accounts
- Develops and implements plans, new products and effective sales presentations to generate new business.
- Develop and maintain good Agency and Advertiser relationships and make sales calls with Account Executives.
- Manage inventory control, rate structure and traffic system
- Create and maintain local sales budgets and forecasting.
• * Qualifications/Requirements:
• * - Prefer a bachelors degree in business Administration with an emphasis in marketing or advertising. Proven track record of sales success.
- Five years experience in broadcast sales or digital sales
- Some sales management experience
