Radiologic Technologists perform professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed radiation for diagnostic purposes. They are responsible for producing clear and accurate images of the body that enable physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions that would otherwise be difficult to document. By guiding patients through each step of their medical... imaging procedures, Radiologic Technologist’s ensure the production of high-quality images. They also play a pivotal role in assuaging the anxieties of patients who may be concerned about the procedure or their condition.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE

1. Ability to effectively operate systems to produce high quality radiographs by following established standards and procedures: acquiring radiographs, observing radiograph results, making necessary adjustments
2. Contribute to team effort by aiding where necessary in order to provide great patient care.
3. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures, and by maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
4. Monitor equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and arrange service as necessary.
5. Minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection methods, using collimation, patient shielding, and knowledge of technical factors.
6. Perform diagnostic imaging within scope of practice.
7. Ensuring cleanliness of exam rooms.
8. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures including HIPAA, infection control, fire and safety, human resources, and departmental procedures.
9. Must be able to multi-task and work well as a team player in a very busy Orthopedic setting.
10. Must be able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working with difficult patients.
11. Effectively maintain patient flow while on feet for long periods of time.
12. Requires moderate strength and endurance when helping lift or turn disabled patients.
13. Must show compassion and concern for individuals.
14. Must have working knowledge of HIPAA regulations to provide patients with privacy rights.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the organization.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required:
16. Must possess degree from accredited school of Radiologic Technology and be actively registered with ARRT or other equivalent nationally recognized organization.
17. Must have and maintain a valid Washington state license in Radiologic Technology, or as an X-ray technician and become nationally accredited within 6 months of employment.
18. Must have knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
DESIRED SKILLS
19. Background in Orthopedics is preferred but not required.
20. Bilingual abilities preferred but not required.
21. Experience with PACS system preferred.
22. Experience with C-Arm preferred
SUPERVISORY RESONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
DIRECT SUPERVISION: This position reports to the Clinic Manager
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of patient conditions and elements. The noise level is moderate to quiet. Technologists and technicians are on their feet for long periods and may lift or turn disabled patients. Technologists and technicians work at diagnostic machines, but also may perform some procedures at patients’ bedsides. Radiation hazards exist in this occupation. Radiation hazards may be minimized by the use of lead aprons, gloves, and other shielding devices, as well as by instruments monitoring exposure to radiation. Technologists and technicians wear badges measuring radiation levels in the radiation area, and detailed records are kept on their cumulative lifetime dose.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
• Clinical management is conducted in collaboration with the supervising physician and health care team members.
• Round with Tele neurologist using Tele-Robot
• Charting, coordinating care of patient, and following up with test results
• Tele Neurologist will write initial consultation note, NP will drop charge for consult.
• NP will be responsible for writing follow-up progress notes with updated plans and recommendations discussed on rounds.
• Assist Tele Neurologist examine patient during video session and help with moving the robot from room to room when rounding.
• NP will coordinate the care and communication to referring services with follow-up on test results throughout day as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Masters or Higher education and licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas or licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area
• Current provider care in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by department and facility.
