Yachting, one of America’s most-respected marine brands since 1907, is seeking a highly organized and talented Senior Editor to join its team. The ideal candidate has a passion for yachting and the on-the-water lifestyle, excellent writing, editing, and production skills, and experience developing engaging audience-first content for print, web, video, and social media as well as managing... freelancers and junior staff. This is a remote position but candidates must be located in Florida with a heavy preference in Orlando or South Florida.

Responsibilities:
Support editor-in-chief to manage daily workflow of editorial and art production for monthly magazine, daily digital content and daily social posts
Write and copy edit content for print, digital, and social channels
Develop new content and audience initiatives, assist with creating affiliate-related content
Work with EIC and sales team to develop integrated sales/marketing programs for clients
Manage freelancers, assign projects, develop new freelance talent
Represent the brand at boat shows, sales and client meetings, and other industry events
Assist in execution of the Yachting Innovation Awards program
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5+ years of print and digital writing and editing experience, particularly with an enthusiast brand
Self-starter who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
Assist in day-to-day production of monthly print magazine
Excellent editing skills
Edit stories for clarity, precision, and structure
Ability to lead projects and handle multiple projects at once under tight deadlines
Strong digital storytelling and editing skills with a keen familiarity on evolving SEO best practices
Familiar with working in a CMS
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Strong interest in boats and the boating lifestyle, boating experience a plus
Ability to travel as required for industry events, story assignments and client meetings
Remote work environment
