Payroll Supervisor
Position

Payroll Supervisor
Position based in our NYC Corporate Office (NOT REMOTE)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist Payroll Manager in accomplishing organizational goals
• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll for corporate population
• Assists payroll practitioners in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax calculations.
• Responsible for setting up new locations in system and works with payroll provider to ensure accuracy
• Provides support in escalated payroll related queries from employees
• Coordinate and ensure the preparation of all payroll related tax returns, audit W2’s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc.
• Define and document policies, procedures and controls related to payroll operations; used for training of department personnel and end users.
• Develop automatization of tasks to streamline new or processes already in place
• Balance's payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.
• Responsible for producing relevant management reports.
• Assist in continuous improvement throughout of department resulting in increase productivity and improved efficiency of payroll processes.
• Ensure proper maintenance of documents relating to Payroll.
• Work on special projects as assigned by department head
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 + years experience in high volume multi-state payroll department (California +)
• Understanding of payroll taxes at Federal, State and local levels
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP Vantage) and general understanding of system interface management
• Experience working with EEO and BLS reporting
• Knowledge of Paid Time Off accruals
• Languages: English & Spanish (preferred)
• Fundamental Payroll Certification is a plus
SKILLS AND ATTITUDES:
• Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels
• Time management skills with an excellent ability to prioritize workload

Payroll Supervisor
Position based in our NYC Corporate Office (NOT REMOTE)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist Payroll Manager in accomplishing organizational goals
• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll for corporate population
• Assists payroll practitioners in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax calculations.
• Responsible for setting up new locations in system and works with payroll provider to ensure accuracy
• Provides support in escalated payroll related queries from employees
• Coordinate and ensure the preparation of all payroll related tax returns, audit W2’s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc.
• Define and document policies, procedures and controls related to payroll operations; used for training of department personnel and end users.
• Develop automatization of tasks to streamline new or processes already in place
• Balance's payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.
• Responsible for producing relevant management reports.
• Assist in continuous improvement throughout of department resulting in increase productivity and improved efficiency of payroll processes.
• Ensure proper maintenance of documents relating to Payroll.
• Work on special projects as assigned by department head
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 + years experience in high volume multi-state payroll department (California +)
• Understanding of payroll taxes at Federal, State and local levels
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP Vantage) and general understanding of system interface management
• Experience working with EEO and BLS reporting
• Knowledge of Paid Time Off accruals
• Languages: English & Spanish (preferred)
• Fundamental Payroll Certification is a plus

Annual compensation range: $86,000 - $137,000 + discretionary annual bonus
