Assembles parts per print; then packages and moves the products to the backflushing area.

Sets-up and tests assembled products and sub-assemblies per specification.

Cleans workstation and area for next job.

Inspects products prior to packaging and places non-conforming products aside to be returned to production departments

Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.

Demonstrates basic computer knowledge.

Follows and retains detailed instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES...
• This position is responsible for the entire software product cycle in the region: new customer functional development initiatives, software development, calibration activities, prototype support, validation, engineering release, truck assembly plant support, and field troubleshooting.
• Represent ZF throughout software product development programs at the customer and provide guidance and/or expertise for all technical and business-related issues.
• Serve as primary technical liaison to the customer for software functional changes and software change management processes. Provide clarification and technical explanation of ZF product specifications, calibration solutions, and component functions.
• Lead software program deliveries by tracking action items, calibration program timing, and software/calibration releases (including but not limited to, the creation and execution of system-level development and validation test plans, development of functional test procedures and scripting, and performance of verification testing).
• Communicate plans and results (reports, customer presentations, development test plans and reports, software checklists, etc.) to manager, coworkers (international & local), industry partners, and customers.
• Participate in department continuous-improvement activities to test and develop calibrations and control systems, improve calibrations and software solutions and data analysis techniques, and develop new test procedures. Maintain, design, develop, and document software tools to support product development process.
• Review the local market and research new technologies that may improve powertrain control principles, and develop recommendations accordingly. Innovate and develop patentable designs – support IP activities.
• Provide technical support as needed to the Field Organization, Service Parts, Purchasing, Sales and Marketing, OEMS, and suppliers.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical, Computer/Software, or related field). Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical, Computer/Software, or related field) preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a software development engineer or calibration development engineer within a powertrain development and/or manufacturing environment – specifically within automotive industry.
• Experience in developing real-time embedded software control systems of vehicles. In-depth understanding of electromechanical systems design, troubleshooting, and repair. In-depth understanding of data acquisition, analysis, and statistical methods.
• Experience with North American Class 3-8 enginees preferred
• Experience with standard engine/transmission hardware, service tools and software preferred.
• Strong knowledge of technical aspects of software applications engineering and product design/development (specifically within a powertrain and/or automotive context). Experience with automotive communication links (SAE J1939; SAE J1587, etc), ABS controls, engine controls, and transmission controls. Proficient with data acquisition & development tools (e.g. Vector CANape & CANalyzer, ETAS INCA, etc.).
• Experience and ability to interface with customers, cross-functional teams, and all levels of personnel/management. Able to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
• Ability/willingness to travel (average 30%).
• Possession of or ability to obtain CDL preferred.

Position Summary...
• To successfully perform all functions necessary to manage the inflow and outflow of material through the warehouse system. Move all material electronically through ASC and meet all KPI’s established for necessary throughput. Works heavily in cross functional teams and with ASC transactions. Organize material for distribution while ensuring that product is properly orientated and staged to meet production requirements.

Position Responsibilities:
• Receipt and put away of all products into the warehouse.
• Acknowledge and record all material moves into the warehouse.
• Inspect material for adequate protection and security to ensure safe rack storage.
• Verify and perform all material returns transactions in SAP/ASC pertaining to all line material returns to the warehouse.
• Create locations as required in ASC for specific material storage.
• Organization and safe staging of all replenishment carts for line side refill by Tugger Route.
• Perform required daily cycle counts of rack and other various staging locations per scheduled frequency and as requested by Cycle Counter.
• Perform daily equipment checks and scheduled TPM tasks, including following MIC Plan (cleaning plan) as required.
• Responsible for the housekeeping of the warehouse aisles, inbound/outbound, and Turret/Fork Trucks.
• Responsible to meet daily KPI targets.
• Responsible for pulling all Interleave picks per work instructions.
• Effective communication with all Line Side Material Handlers In turn, responsible for prioritization of line needs.
• Dispatching “Hot” replenishment request within warehouse operations and production.
• Organizing and dispatching of all Tugger Routes.
• Loading and upkeep of Rolling Supermarkets (i.e. label replacements, addition of new parts, etc.).
• Responsible for all Kanban replenishment as required. This includes ordering of material and proper preparation for agreed upon line side presentation.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required, or successful completion of a 90-day assignment with a temporary agency.
• 2+ years of work related experience, including forklift experience.
• Basic English language competency required.

Preferred Skills and experience:
• Parts knowledge, material flow, MRP, ISO 9001, ITAF16949, and ISO 1400and prior forklift and crane experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP and or ASC.
• Understanding of Lean practices.
