Responsibilities:
• Understand search relevance engineering (experience with Elasticsearch is a plus)
• Work with an ETL pipeline that incorporates Airflow, Dataflow, Jenkins, and Apache Beam
• Include observability and monitoring into your work to keep our search platform operational
• Build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure for NLP, product retrieval and ranking to serve our customers with relevant results
• Tune application performance by investigating the slow performing requests and analyzing the resource utilization of the application infrastructure

Responsibilities:
Identify, assess, and prioritize human resource needs in support of the business. Collaborate with human resources partners across Zoro and the broader enterprise as needed. Serve as consultative partner across Zoro teams at all levels, leveraging knowledge of HR and business practices in order to influence the best outcomes for the organization. Advise and assist business leaders and departments with ongoing talent management and development strategies. Support and contribute to strategy for employee engagement and culture, focusing on employee programs, events, communications, unique company traditions, and work environment initiatives designed to attract, motivate and retain employees. Support Zoro and enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs. Provide coaching and guidance to managers in the areas of employee development and career progression. Drive the utilization of performance management tools within the company. Coach managers and employees to fully leverage performance feedback and coaching to drive improved results. Facilitate the development of organizational structure in support of business growth. Continuously review the organization structure to ensure it is meeting the dynamic needs of the business. Assist compensation in job analysis and provide support to the job evaluation process as needed in the creation of new positions. Communicate with and educate managers on salary administration and ensure that it is being calibrated across the company. Oversight for general business projects and complex HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Focus in Business Management or Human Resources Management preferred. 5
years progressive Human Resource management experience which encompasses HR Business Partner-focus, employee relations and/or training and development. 3
years exposure to highly technical departments. Proficient in Google Workplace or similar applications. Technically proficient and has knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn SAP HR or other HRIS systems. High level of interpersonal skills, strong influencing and facilitation skills, which surface differing viewpoints and result in the best course of actions. Understands organization dynamics and can navigate appropriate channels to get results. Analytical ability and business judgment by which cause and effect are understood, situations are accurately assessed and actions anticipated. Effectively prioritizes and manages projects.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

Zoro is currently seeking a Senior Director, Digital Product Engineering to lead a growing team of technology experts who have joined Zoro on their mission to scale toward an endless assortment of products, while embracing its award-winning culture and workplace. The position is primarily responsible for the leadership of development, integration and management of all digital product software used to support all facets of Zoro. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the role will lead teams of software engineers at every level, from entry level to principal engineers, and directly manage seasoned leaders.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in software engineering, information systems or related disciplines. Experience building and leading large engineering teams that deliver cloud-based solutions at scale. Experience building, deploying, and managing scaled platforms using continuous delivery methodologies. K8s is a strong plus. 15
years' experience in Information Technology with experience related to application development, IT operations management, cloud infrastructure management, project management, or technology consulting. Substantial experience required ERP Systems, Product Information Management, Master Data Management, Logistics, Pricing, Financial systems and distribution platforms.
