Job summary:

As a... Strategy Lab Research Intern, you will support our Technology Directors and our Senior Innovation Researcher in strategic research that will identify and evaluate business opportunities and support the adoption of novel mitigation technologies at South Pole. Responsibilities will include supporting desk research and analysis across a range of topics related to climate change mitigation and adaptation. You will mainly conduct independent research tasks but may also collaborate with colleagues on a number of projects and initiatives across South Pole.

The internship will be for 6 months, starting in April 2023 or upon agreement.

Main tasks & responsibilities:
• Conduct deep-technology research into breakthrough or blue-sky mitigation technologies and practices (e.g. novel nature-based solutions, agricultural practices, or negative emission technologies)
• Support the commercial and market research for mitigation technologies and practices not currently served at South Pole
• Summarise scientific findings for both board-level and company-wide audiences.
• Contribute to identifying, prioritising and validating new business opportunities for South Pole on the basis of your research.

• ITIL V4 knowledge or certification.

Job Description :

The position:

Responsible for leading and deepening the client relationship across all the Creative accounts. Drives long-term business growth targets and has accountability for the budget, planning, execution, and measurement of the client’s satisfaction whilst ensuring strategically aligned, quality deliverables on time and within budget. This pivotal position encompasses three key areas – business building, strategic thinking/brand building and troubleshooting.

Guide the account and creative teams in optimizing output, quality and value of their work, whilst supporting and encouraging... colleagues to identify new business opportunities. Strengthens the collaboration between the other business units of our Village in charge of Media, Customer Experience and Sports.

In direct report to the Managing Director of Havas Creative, to co-define the commercial strategy, resource allocations and to report financial results.

Client Services & Delivery:
• Develops meaningful client relationships with key contact: Marketing and Communication manager / director or Procurement teams.
• Inspires agency and client confidence and be an effective leader.
• Leads the “client team” to ensure accurate project tracking, timelines and budgets controlling.
• Manages the overall efficiency, growth and cadence of accounts.
• Contributes to the building of strategic and creative presentations.

Financial Management:
• Ensures accurate revenue forecasts based on financial trends and experience.
• Oversees and manages account/project resources, profitability, forecasting and revenue to maximize growth opportunities.
• Takes responsibility for establishing and confirming financial arrangements and SoW with the client.

Commercial Awareness and Business Development:
• Be responsible and accountable for securing and retaining business by providing professional, consultative, proactive and strategic support and ideas.
• Be aware of the wider industry, client competitor strategies and market environment and uses this knowledge to direct the account teams’ work in consultation with clients.
• Proactively advises clients on new issues, external environment and opportunities.
• Partners with other business units locally and agencies across the Havas Network, understands their offering and how it can serve client goals.

Management:
• Manages accounting teams, from Executive to Account Director, to optimize workflow and workload.
• Inspires and directly mentor staff where appropriate. Leads by example.
• Actively contributes to growing the company’s culture from within.
• Install a positive and constructive mindset in your team.

Qualifications:
• Master's degree in business or management or comparable qualification
• At least 10+ years’ agency experience within account management.
• Fluent in German & English. French an advantage
• Used to work in an integrated way, where brand strategy, creativity, media and customer experience are all one.
• Experience leading and mentoring 5+ team members.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Used to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines with a strong problem-solving mindset.
• Familiar with financial controlling, forecasting and performance reporting.
• At ease with strategic thinking.
• Very good presentation skills and confident attitude when it comes to convincing.
• Proven leadership skills, initiative and willingness to take greater responsibility.
• Optimistic personality, independent thinker, and "can-do" attitude
• Experience in Retail and FMCG highly desired.

These are great opportunities to work closely with our European Data business whilst partnering with multiple clients to enhance and solve their technical data challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build trusted partner relationships with senior client stakeholders
• Representing D&A, be the Strategic Trusted Partner for the client executives and top management, developing client relationships, strategically plan the account D&A targets and roadmap, and communicating the D&A account vision to the BU leadership, account team, and the GDO partners
• Provide thought-leadership in the D&A space, help define the analytics agenda at your clients, and identify specific opportunities to create value with D&A
• Drive client engagement, ensuring that projects “land successfully” and generate tangible business value
• Own and actively contribute to the strategic deliverables such as vision & mission statements, assessment solution visions, strategies, plans and roadmaps
• Support pre-sales activities by assessing digital opportunities, responding to RFPs, creating proposals and helping to close new deals
• Inspire, coach, and develop the Portfolio leads / BU and account teams to understand the D&A opportunity and offerings, and co-sell and manage D&A initiatives to jointly increase EPAM footprint and revenue and elevate our collective game
• Drive profitable EPAM D&A growth by shaping, negotiating, and driving deals which are balanced between Client expectations, Team capabilities, our D&A Offerings and EPAM’s ambitions, in collaboration and close partnership with the BU and Client Account team

REQUIREMENTS
• Extensive Experience within Technology Consulting (5-12 years)
• Proven history of launching and managing complex technology initiatives or large-scale programs while working with senior business & IT stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in developing and growing client relationships
• Ability to operate at the strategic level, yet being close enough to the details to add value to clients and be a real support to your team
• Strong Understanding of end-to-end data and analytics project delivery (BigData, Cloud DWH, Advanced Analytics / MLOps)
• Awareness of cloud/data technologies and trends with practical experience with one or more major data analytics technologies
• Familiar with facilitating and driving strategy definition
• Ability to challenge and influence data solution design and technology selection for enterprise data platforms, warehouses, data lakes, and data science platforms
• Expertise in at least one functional area: LS/HC, Manufacturing, Automotive, Financial Services, Insurance, O&G/Energy
• Very good German language skills with a strong command of written and spoken English
