Can civilians wear ACU?
DA Civilian personnel may eJect to purchase and wear the Army Combat Uniform (ACU). The MultiCam® is not authorized for wear by civilians. The Nomex Flight Suit is issued and authorized for wear by civilian personnel who travel off base. Uniforms will be worn in a professional manner at all times.
What is BDU vs ACU?
“Battle Dress Uniform” was the official name given to the combat uniform worn by U.S. armed forces personnel from 1981 to 2008. It was supplanted by the ACU (Army Combat Uniform) which remains in use by the American military to this day.
