The Manager, Dental Continuing Education is responsible for the successful planning, implementation, and execution of the ADA's Learning Programs for dentists... (including SmileCon) and serves as the staff liaison to the CAM CE Chair and CE Planning Group.
This position curates and develops educational content, designs transformative learning experiences to ensure ADA learning offerings are the most cutting edge, relevant, and innovative dental education programs in the industry, and in the process, produces tangible member value and net income for the association.
This position is responsible for incorporating best practices in adult learning into ADA's learning programs.
Minimum
Qualifications:
BA/BS with a minimum of 5 years of combined experience in developing, curating, and managing educational content, coordinating volunteer functions, digital content delivery, and meeting planning.
In lieu of a BS/BA, a minimum of 9 years of experience.
Must be able to work independently/under pressure Must be able to work as a team player and team leader Must be able to demonstrate a history of sound business judgment Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Must understand up and downstream impacts of work products Must be able to effectively interact with members, staff, and external contacts.
Must have excellent management, oral/written communications, and multi-tasking skills Must be collaborative, and have interpersonal and negotiation skills Must have a strategic and creative mindset Knowledge of best practices in adult education.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL & PowerPoint) Must be proficient in eLearning applications, LMS, webinar/web conferencing platforms There will be times when extensive evening and/or weekend work might be necessary to meet critical deadlines.
Highly Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of large meetings, especially medical meetings.
Association background.
