Job Summary: Blavity Inc. is looking for a Marketing Operations Coordinator. This position is a W2, contract position responsible for curating and producing culturally relevant marketing content for the AfroTech brand. The Coordinator will execute social publishing and data insight for all AfroTech social accounts, including FB, X, IG, LI, and TikTok. This role will also engage with our community of global followers with social listening and comment moderation while assisting in other daily programmatic tasks for the marketing team.
The ideal candidate for this position is ready to roll their sleeves up and wear multiple marketing hats at a fast-paced media company.
This position will report directly to the VP of Brand Development & Strategy, Talent Infusion.
Responsibilities:
Operations
• Draft social captions and publish all content across AfroTech social accounts for editorial, digital products, and conference marketing
• Deliver social comment moderation, reviewing comments, deleting spam, and blocking bots
• Reshare relevant content on the feed to drive engagement

Qualifications:
• Education: Preferred BA/BS in business, marketing, media studies, advertising, or relevant work experience

• Fluent in Canva, SproutSocial, Meta Business Suites, Google Suite, Asana, and/or comparable project management suite
• Working knowledge of TikTok, Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin, Twitter, Clubhouse and Discord

• Develop schedules and manage production workflows to produce high-quality marketing materials following agreed-upon timelines
• Work with graphic designers to oversee the design and layout of materials and graphics to ensure high-quality design; a strong, consistent, professional visual identity; and alignment with brand standards
• Create and distribute robust weekly reports on all promotion and ticket sales efforts.
• In partnership with VP of AfroTech Brand and VP of Corporate Marketing, craft the positioning strategy for each event product
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Required Experience:
• 8+ years of digital consumer marketing experience
• 4+ years of people management experience
• Experience in Live Entertainment and festival marketing is a plus
• Additional Qualifications:
• Experience creating and running consistent marketing programs that can be altered and rolled out per experience
• Entrepreneurial attitude; ongoing passion to adjust marketing strategies to stay relevant and improve performance
• A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

• This is a fully remote role, U.S.- based role. Occasional travel may be required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• The annual salary range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000

Job Summary:
Blavity Inc. is seeking a Director of Consumer Marketing for our Live Events & Membership business to oversee the strategy and roadmap for AfroTech & Blavity House Party’s marketing programs. This person will be responsible for overarching marketing campaigns, social strategy, monthly content calendar, programs & tentpole digital campaigns, audience analysis and community engagement.
This person will be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive marketing programs that captivate our audience and drive ticket sales for our events. This should be an excellent people manager who will oversee a Growth Marketing Automation Manager and a Social Producer.
The ideal candidate is someone who deeply understands consumer marketing and is a strong operator, able to implement timelines, budget processes, tools, data and testing best practices in order to drive ticket sales, page views, reach, and engagement.
This person will report directly to the VP of Brand Development of P of Brand Development AfroTech & Live Events.
Responsibilities:
• Create, own and oversee the execution of the Live Events business (AfroTech & Blavity House Party) year-round content calendar
• Plan monthly content strategy on TikTok and across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter based on engagement, performance, and branding
• Responsible for all consumer marketing efforts across our Live Events business, including organic social channels and influencer partnerships
