DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As part of this role, your main responsibility will be to manage and revise files in preparation for a scanning project that is based in the Southwest Regional Office. This will involve maintaining and updating various types of files, including case files, subject files, monitoring files, stream files, and litigation files. These files are specifically related to the Bureau of Clean Water Management, Waterways & Wetlands, and Safe Drinking Water Program, and your task will be to ensure that they are properly organized and up to date before they are scanned. Additionally, you will also be responsible for maintaining and updating files for the Bureau of Solid Waste Management and Environmental Cleanup Program. These files include case files, plan files, hazardous waste files, and general files. Your role will be to ensure that these files are properly prepared for scanning, which may involve organizing them, updating information, and ensuring that all necessary documents are included. Another important aspect of this position is processing requests for registrations, permits, and certifications. You will be responsible for evaluating the information submitted, reviewing files and records, and requesting any missing information. Your role will be to determine if the requests meet the prescribed standards and ensure that all necessary documentation is in order. As the initial point of contact, you will also be expected to provide assistance and respond to questions from the public and other employees. This will involve explaining the proper procedures for completing and submitting documents or forms, as well as providing guidance on how to request services. Your role will be to ensure that individuals understand the necessary steps and requirements and to provide any necessary support throughout the process.
