REQUIREMENTS

for this position is bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline, with two years of programming experience in Java Web development using databased access (Oracle preferred) or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Must understand system development methodologies and be able to advance a project through the development life cycle from requirements through after-deployment maintenance. Good customer service, organizational and analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage customer expectations. Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.

This is very much a team oriented environment, where all members of staff work as well to maintain the facility, complete the daily care operations, and complete extra projects as needed. Someone who knows their way around farm equipment, and isn't afraid to pick up a hammer will be looked at favorably! This is a facility which believes strongly in continued education for all staff members, and will provide ample opportunities for learning and growth - including sending the breeding team to seminars/workshops and investing one-on-one time with the team's vets. Kindness and patience in working with the young horses are an absolute necessity. This is not a riding/training position, as farm only focuses on breeding and sales.

• Will have the equivalent of DLPT 2+/2+ foreign language capability in a Central Asian or the Russian language.

About The Position
A Youth Services Library Assistant provides library services to a wide variety of patrons, including adults, preschool children and their caregivers, as well as K-12 students. Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
• Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.

Essential Functions
Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:
• Provide and model exceptional customer service by making the customer the first priority.
• Establish, maintain, and foster positive, harmonious, professional, and effective working relationships.
• Create and deliver exceptional programming and educational opportunities within the library, through community outreach, and virtually.
• Teach and collaborate with customers, staff, and a variety of organizations to create content, to be effective consumers of information, and to be a lifelong learner.
• Work at all public service points to include Customer Service Desk where payments are processed.
• Communicate library policies and procedures, request compliance with Library Rules of Conduct, and serve as "In-Charge" person in the evenings, on weekends, and as assigned.
• Perform daily duties in a manner consistent with the Library's mission, goals, and objectives.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Reach, bend, stoop, lift and move arms above shoulder level; lift and carry library materials.
