DPS is responsible for designing, planning and executing on the generation of key enabling reagents to support early discovery of small and large molecule therapeutics and ground-breaking modalities.
• You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team with capabilities in de novo design, molecular engineering, molecular biology, expression, and purification of proteins, including antibodies, multispecifics, and membrane proteins.

In this vital role, you will conceptualize, design, conduct, analyze, interpret, and publish observational research supporting BLINCYTO® and oncology drug development program and regulatory submissions, investigating post-marketing safety and efficiency for Amgen’s products.

Basic Qualifications:
• Doctorate degree and 2 years of observational research experience
• Master’s degree and 6 years of observational research experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of observational research experience
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of observational research experience
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of observational experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Epidemiology (or other subjects with high observational research content) or Medical degree with a strong focus on observational research experience.
• Demonstrable experience leading pharmaco-epidemiologic research programs in a drug development environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to develop credibility with colleagues within and outside observational research, as well as interact effectively in multi-disciplinary matrix teams to influence decisions.
• Broad experience in collaborating with internal/external research partners and in leading multiple tasks and complex projects.
• Ability to work well within a business-driven environment, balance priorities, and prioritize multiple tasks through careful planning, partner management, project administration, and organizational skills.
• Experience in research project planning and management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate scientific evidence to peers and at scientific meetings.

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $151,293

What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will conceptualize, design, conduct, analyze, interpret, and publish observational research supporting BLINCYTO® and oncology drug development program and regulatory submissions, investigating post-marketing safety and efficiency for Amgen’s products.
• You will be the technical expert in a cross-functional team to: identify evidence needs; understand how RWE can be used to support the product development and commercialization strategy; and develop, maintain, and expand a portfolio of observational research activities to support these strategies.
• You will develop positive relationships with internal collaborators to meet the product needs.
• You will plan resource allocation to accomplish multiple research projects and attain project and study timelines.
• You will identify innovative, timely, and efficient methods to conduct epidemiologic studies.
• You will help build and facilitate Amgen research collaborations with opinion leaders and professional societies, particularly those leading all aspects of relevant disease registries
• You will play a role in the development of an efficient RWE ecosystem that supports the effective development and commercialization of Amgen assets.
• You will promote understanding and use of observational research methods in drug development and commercialization
