Amgen’s Therapeutic Discovery organization is seeking a collaborative Associate to join the Discovery Protein Science (DPS) group at our South San Francisco site. DPS is responsible for designing, planning and executing on the generation of key enabling reagents to support early discovery of small and large molecule therapeutics and ground-breaking modalities.
• You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team with capabilities in de novo design, molecular engineering, molecular biology, expression, and purification of proteins, including antibodies, multispecifics, and membrane proteins.
• You will be responsible for generating DNA constructs for immunization, protein expression and assays against therapeutic targets, handing off DNA preps to downstream users including cell biologists, protein biochemists and other colleagues in Discovery Protein Science.
• You will have experience performing independent research in a molecular biology or biochemistry laboratory, deep scientific curiosity, and a positive approach to working in a team-based research environment along with a track record of creative problem-solving and enthusiasm for taking on difficult research challenges.

In this vital role, you will conceptualize, design, conduct, analyze, interpret, and publish observational research supporting BLINCYTO® and oncology drug development program and regulatory submissions, investigating post-marketing safety and efficiency for Amgen’s products.
