Amgen’s Therapeutic Discovery organization is seeking a collaborative Associate to join the Discovery Protein Science (DPS) group at our South San Francisco site. DPS is responsible for designing, planning and executing on the generation of key enabling reagents to support early discovery of small and large molecule therapeutics and ground-breaking modalities.
• You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team with capabilities in de novo design, molecular engineering, molecular biology, expression, and purification of proteins, including antibodies, multispecifics, and membrane proteins.

In this vital role, you will conceptualize, design, conduct, analyze, interpret, and publish observational research supporting BLINCYTO® and oncology drug development program and regulatory submissions, investigating post-marketing safety and efficiency for Amgen’s products.

This Co-Op will be approximately 26 weeks that includes both project- based and experiential learning. Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
• 18 years or older
• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
• Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
• Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
• Must not be employed at the time the co-op starts
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the co-op
Preferred Qualifications
• Majoring in Engineering or Biotech related STEM discipline
• Previous co-op or internship experience
