Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application.

Additionally, the Biology department collaborates with the Department of Physical Sciences & Engineering for a B.A. or B.S. in Biochemistry. Graduates from both Biology and Biochemistry majors have gone on to graduate studies in Biology, Biochemistry, as well as medical, dental, and veterinarian schools.
