Anderson University (Indiana) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant - Academic Coordinator for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Assist in the Academic development and retention of students, with a focus on student athletes and at-risk students with Educational Support Services (ESS)/Kissinger Academic Center for Excellence (KACE).
• Coordinate weekly meetings with select students; monitor class attendance; distribute grade checks; verify students are attending study groups and taking advantage of existing support services tutoring, counseling, career services, student life etc.
• Work with existing services designed to meet the needs of potentially at-risk students, student athletes, probation students, Alpha students, and Disability Service for Students. Offer suggestions on improvement of existing programming and ideas of new services that could be implemented. Work with departments to build collaborative partnerships designed to improve retention & graduation rates. Meet weekly with the Director of Educational Support Services.

Anderson University (IN) seeks a graduate assistant in the sport of Women's Basketball for the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Recruiting qualified student-athletes who are the "right fit" and desire a faith-based eductional experience
• Use of recruiting software
• Assist with all aspects of practice and game preparation as assigned by the head coach
• Monitoring student-athletes' academic progress and conducting team study tables
• Assisting with the day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks
• And other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree; previous collegiate playing or coaching experience preferred.
• Commitment to University mission and Christian lifestyle.
• Admittance to Masters program approved for the Grad. Asst. program at Anderson University.
• Complete and pass required background check.
• The graduate assistant must meet University lifestyle expectations, GPA requirements and work responsibilities to be reappointed for the 2024-25 academic year.
• 10-month period: August through May.

Benefits:

Benefits: Tuition waiver for a Master’s* Degree, $5,500 per year stipend paid bi-weekly over 10 months, campus housing option based upon availability, and shared with other GAs. Graduate Assistants receive the remitted tuition benefit of 100%. This is a tuition waiver of up to $5,250 per year that is not taxable; tuition beyond this amount is taxable. Pre-requisite courses taken at Anderson University are covered by the tuition waiver. Program fees are the responsibility of the Graduate Assistant.
