This position is responsible for leading the Front of the House team at a variety of venues in the overall execution of lunch/dinner and bar service with the goal of providing superior customer service by meeting high standards of drink preparation, cleanliness, attention to detail, and efficiency.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
• Works cooperatively with the Food and Beverage Director to develop and implement successful F&B promotions, strategies, operation plan, budget, policies, and procedures to meet and exceed the resort’s F&B goals.
• Ensures all AFR policies, procedures, control systems, and other established operating plans are understood and implemented by the F&B staff.
• Works closely with Marketing and Group Sales to plan for, prepare, and execute special events, banquets and wedding functions.
• Maintains positive customer service programs to ensure customers receive high quality customer service at all times.
• Resolves guest issues/challenges while maintaining positive guest relations.
• Purchases and manages inventory to ensure adequate supply.
• Develops positive relationships with outside vendors.
• Arranges for internal or external services such as food deliveries, laundry, maintenance and repair, and trash collection.
• Ensures that cash handling employees meet the standards set by the Accounting office.
• Processes invoices by coding, processing inventory items, and submitting to the accounting department in a timely manner.
• Directs the security, safety, sustainability and risk management practices of the venues.
• Ensures legal compliance of alcohol sales/licensing.
• Ensures consistency in preparation, presentation, proportions and price point of all food and beverage.
• Establishes and enforces NM Health Department Food Service and sanitation standards.
• Ensures that proper atmosphere and environment is maintained in each outlet, inclusive, but not limited to, lighting, music, audio/visual presentations, cleanliness, organization and overall presentation of the outlet.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines established by the company, municipal, state agencies, OSHA and industry standards.
• Performs the work of subordinate personnel as needed.
• Performs other duties as required per the Food and Beverage Director’s direction.
