We are currently seeking an experienced Coal Operator (CHPP) to help run our prep plant. This role is offered on a 7/7 day night rotating roster basis.
With extensive interactions across various departments, you will require solid verbal communication skills and be an effective team player. To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a capable, friendly and professional team to achieve business objectives. Job Description
We are seeking a Regional Agronomist for the central US. The role reports to the Regional Agronomy Manager.
The key aspects of the role include the following:
• Responsibility for development and expansion of the regional agronomy research trial program, including budget and management of day-to-day business relationships
• Deliver agronomic training and transfer of product knowledge to customers and stakeholders
• Support of marketing and commercial growth plans to deliver shareholder value
• Partnering with our customer to promote our products at meetings and events in the region
• Gathering knowledge from on-farm interactions with growers, aka “boots on the ground”
Key Accountabilities
• Design agronomy research protocols using current scientific methods and procedures.
• Assist with design and implementation on commercial on-farm trials
• Manage day to day relationships with existing researchers through phone, email, and in-person visits.
• Develop and foster new industry relationships and/or partnerships
• Manage the regional agronomy budget including planning, cost estimation, and invoice approval process.
• Support and anticipate customer needs for training and technical support through events, trade shows, and sales meetings
• Provide the market with agronomic advice and technical information relating to our products in the region.
• Network with industry peers and understand the competitive marketplace for our products
• Participate in committees, councils and other industry leadership opportunities in the region
• Support marketing efforts to promote our products in the region including signage and sponsorship activities
Qualifications
• A University Bachelor’s or Master’s qualification in Agronomy, Soil Science or related discipline.
• Certified Crop Advisor Certificate (CCA or equivalent) preferred or willingness to become certified.
• Experience of practical agronomy field work, relevant to the fertilizer industry
• Additional experience with agricultural sales and/or marketing in ag retail or ag distribution channels preferred.
• A good understanding of current crop production and agronomy practices for broad acre crops and high value crops of local importance
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and adjust to a dynamic work environment
• An ability to organize and execute high quality commercial trial programs, and able to use the result to impact business success
• Experience and network with research providers, crops associations and agricultural cooperatives of local importance
• Experience with current fertilizer practices for both broad acre and high value crops of relevance in the Midwest and eastern Canada
• Good working knowledge of local fertilizer industry
• Excellent organization and time management skills, coupled with good inter-personal and communication skills preferably with public presentation experience. An ability to communicate at all levels in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Knowledge and experience with CRM software preferred
• Experience with Precision Agriculture technologies (remote sensing, GPS, variable rate, and GIS software desirable.

PURPOSE
Support the smooth running and maintenance of the Freight/Commodity risk management systems service (CTRM) in London and other worldwide centers providing exceptional support to the business.
KEY TASKS
