We are currently seeking an experienced Coal Operator (CHPP) to help run our prep plant. This role is offered on a 7/7 day night rotating roster basis.

To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a capable, friendly and professional team to achieve business objectives. We are seeking a Regional Agronomist for the central US. The role reports to the Regional Agronomy Manager.

The key aspects of the role include the following:
• Responsibility for development and expansion of the regional agronomy research trial program, including budget and management of day-to-day business relationships
• Deliver agronomic training and transfer of product knowledge to customers and stakeholders

Key Accountabilities

Qualifications

The purpose of this role is to assist the Reconciliations supervisor in providing a timely, accurate and compliant intercompany and payroll reconciliations for Anglo American BU’s

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Review all relevant process documents and validate L5
• On a monthly basis process all relevant transactions in the general ledger with special note on overdue items and making appropriate disclosures to the reconciliations supervisor
• Under the leadership of the Reconciliations Supervisor, complete the following activities in accordance with agreed service levels
• Responsible for processing all journal entries into relevant ledgers and submission to the reconciliations supervisor
• Process all intercompany transactions into the appropriate ledgers in a timely manner, maintenance entries are undertaken as required
• Process all payroll transactions into the appropriate ledgers in a timely manner, maintenance entries are undertaken as required
• Ensure quality and health of the reconciliation through the investigation and clearing of open line items
• Execute escalation process to support effective service delivery
• Assist in the preparation of the KPI reports

What you'll do

Execute the Marketing BU's daily voyage operations and post fixture activities of the chartered fleet.

KEY TASKS

Safety, Health & Environment
• Actively manage Anglo chartered vessels to reduce carbon emission and engage with crew for their mental health wellbeing. Contribute to Marketing Safety, Health and Environmental initiatives.

Performance & Delivery
• Develop collaborate relationship with CMTs, and able to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to Shipping annual budget and drive PnL through operational excellency.
• Strictly follow operational procedure, and ensure adherence with Shipping and Marketing compliance requirements.
• Identify gaps in current process and improve efficiency.

Vessel Operations
• Operate fleet of T/C and V/C ships, ranging from Handy size to Capesize vessels
• Manage Voyage Instructions, Agent appointment, bunkering planning, safety procedure, port activities and etc, to our chartered fleet and onshore parties.
• Focus on minimizing costs for voyages, better selection of suppliers and agencies. Excellent negotiation skills and grasp key information to contribute uplift in revenue.
• Engage independently and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of cargo with minimum risk
• Monitor, follow-up and execute operational procedures on both TC and Voyage fleet.
• Monitor and optimize vessels performance through weather routing system, combining with commercial acumen through robust understanding of the dynamic between bunker consumption and market rate movement.
• Possess key insights when comes to dispute resolutions and be able to articulate in most organized and convincing manner, in-depth understanding of the TC and Voyage CP.
• Understanding of major iron ore and coal trading routes, customers and special contract clauses.

Marine Accounting
• Check and issue freight invoice, hire statement, bunker invoice, PDA invoice and etc.
• Accrue for month-end, year-end on outstandings and bunker inventory onboard vessel.
• Deep understanding of TC and Voyage clauses, and calculate off-hire, claims in most efficient way.

Contract and Professional Advice
• Assist chartering team in Negotiating terms and conditions and act as the interface with charter parties involved.
• Provide operational and professional advices to CMTs, especially for new trades or customers.
• Offer shipping expertise and help commodity team to resolve issues with end customers.

Group Governance and Risk Management
• Ensure strict compliance with all governing flag states, class regulations, International Safety Management and International Ship and Port Security Regulation issues with the chartered and managed fleet.
• Strictly follow Anglo Group's governance, compliance guidelines and ensure the counterparties we deal with, are also aware of our Group policy and observe same to be followed.

Reporting
• Follow and manage various reporting requirements within the team.

Compliance
• Adherence to all Anglo American Group and Marketing policies and procedures, as well as observing proper standards of conduct relating to the role and complete all necessary Marketing Compliance activities.
