We are currently looking for an individual to oversee the development and maintenance of training materials as well as coordinate and deliver training. Some overnight travel will be required. This position has the potential to be approved for a remote work environment.

Duties and responsibilities include but are limited to:

Instructional Design:
• Partner with subject-matter experts to identify general laboratory and forensic course training needs and discuss training program content, goals, and objectives.
• Perform all phases of instructional design and start-to-finish project management, including analysis, design, and curriculum development for online and instructor-led training course material.
• Maintain current training courses and programs for forensics, laboratories ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020 and related standards in the accreditation field and other areas as assigned.
• Monitor training courses and instruction by gathering course survey assessment data from various sources and analyzing the data to assess the value, effectiveness, and/or impact of the course content and the delivery of the course content against learning goals, objectives, and outcomes.

Training Delivery:
• Responsible for delivering training course content to registered attendees of scheduled training events that both engages the learner and produces desired outcomes using various learning-delivery mechanisms.
• Use current andragogy (adult learning) educational training methods, tools, and technology to provide training in the most efficient and effective means possible.
• In coordination with training team, schedule training courses and ensure that instructors are knowledgeable, capable, and properly prepared for the specific training responsibilities assigned.
• Provide logistical support as appropriate per learning event: Set up virtual instructor-led training or teleconferencing and/or reserve on-site training space; manage attendance rosters and communication for small- and large-scale training events; and provide attendance credit to participants and grade exams.

Candidates will have:
• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a natural science (physics, chemistry, biology) or related field to instructional design is required. A minimum of five years of related experience in forensic science, laboratory or accredited environment is required. Instructional design or adult education experience preferred. Experience in training, supervision, management, and/or administration responsibilities in an accredited forensic science service provider, laboratory or accredited environment is preferred.
• Understanding of accreditation and ISO standards, particularly ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020.
• Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and must act with respect and integrity.
• Must have an intricate level of understanding of the accreditation business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and with databases.
• Knowledge of general office practices.
• Understanding of quality principles, continuous learning, customer focus, and teamwork and partnering skills.
• Demonstrated capacity for embracing change and learning new technologies.
• Demonstrate sound administrative discipline.
• Excellent organizational abilities. The ability to prioritize projects, handle a multitude of activities simultaneously, and pay thorough attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to manage the work under pressure.
• Must be able to work effectively with large and small audiences

We are currently looking for an individual with experience and an understanding of electrical and/or mechanical testing gained through formal studies or previous work experience to fill the position of Manager/Senior Manager of Accreditation. The position is based out of our Fort Wayne, IN office but a remote work environment may be approved. Candidates will have:
• A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or college. A graduate degree is preferred.
• Three or more years of conformity assessment, standardization, and/or testing experience is required. Prior experience with laboratory accreditation or certification is desirable. Twelve or more years of related experience, including the understanding and application of quality management could substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• A strong scientific and technical background in fields of study such as electrical engineering or mechanical engineering are preferred. Other fields of study may be considered.
• Experience leading a team, managing people and leading projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to balance respect, decisiveness, diplomacy and tact when dealing with others.
