RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems.
• Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.
• Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Work experience or academic coursework must have included:

Summary / Role Purpose

The Account Manager will increase new and existing business by adapting ANSYS engineering simulation products and solutions into customers’ engineering environments and product development processes, ultimately helping customers develop new products and improve existing products and processes. The Account Manager is responsible for all sales activities, from developing new customers through generation of new contacts within an assigned geographical territory, and/or specified named accounts and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth, and account penetration. The role sells the entire Ansys solution and services directly to end users. A successful Account Manager creates a long-term strategy, and helps the customer realize the greatest possible ROI and executes on the said plan from the Ansys solution.​

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs sales activities, establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and/or prospective customers to maintain renewal business and generate new business for an assigned geographic area, set of named accounts to achieve or exceed revenue objectives​.
• Create and conduct sales presentations to match customers required capabilities to match their positive business outcomes. ​
• Remain knowledgeable and keep abreast of the company's new and existing products/services to facilitate sales efforts​.
• Research sources for developing current and prospective customers to determine their potential​.
• Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers​.
• Create and maintain account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities​.
• Leads coordination of sales effort with marketing, account team, sales management, accounting, legal and technical services groups globally​.
• Maintain accurate sales data and reports within CRM​.
• Provide accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues​.
• Leverage trade shows and conventions; schedules training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities within current and prospective customer base​.
• Alert client to new or improved products/services and relays client feedback to product development staff​.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
• Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, business or related field with 2+ years of experience of demonstrated success in technical sales positions OR 6+ years of experience demonstrated success in technical sales positions.
• Demonstrates understanding of engineering analysis and technology​.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently​.
• Travel: up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Fluent in English and in the local language of the territory
• Demonstrated knowledge of company's products/services. ​

• Manage assessment administration: The Assessment Lead is responsible for managing the administration of assessments. They ensure that assessments are administered in a fair and consistent manner, and that test-takers have the necessary resources and support.
• Ensure assessment quality: The Assessment Lead ensures that assessments are valid, reliable, and meet industry standards. They monitor and analyze assessment data to ensure that assessments are effective and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: The Assessment Lead collaborates with stakeholders such as instructional designers, trainers, and educators to ensure that assessments are integrated into learning programs and aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance and support: The Assessment Lead provides guidance and support to assessment development teams and stakeholders. They provide feedback on assessment design and administration and assist in the development of training materials for assessors and test-takers.
• Establish self as a trusted advisor to multiple customers; understand their key business initiatives, product design needs and engineering design workflows
• Manage and track project resource allocations, timelines, and deliverables across multiple interconnected workstreams
• Communicating assessment status to individuals or groups; meet with clients, colleagues, or supervisors to discuss the findings, provide feedback, and develop strategies for improvement.
• Providing recommendations based on the results of projects for further training or development.
• Work independently within multi-disciplinary teams
• Organize and manage multiple assessments which are complex in nature
• Maintaining records of projects, including results, feedback, and recommendations to further improve internal processes and methodology
• Staying current with the latest tools and techniques, as well as industry trends and best practices.
• Attend conferences, workshops, or other training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering and/or business or related field
• Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BE/BTECH +8, ME/MTECH +6, or PhD+3
• Experience working in engineering / product development environment
• Knowledge of assessment design principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BE/BTECH +12, ME/MTECH +10, or PhD+7
• 6 years of experience in Program Management with an enterprise software and technology deployment focus
• Experience and/or background with Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages
• Ability to interact effectively with customers senior business managers
• Strategic Program Certifications, such as Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus
