What You’ll Do
• Expands sales within existing and/or new accounts while building relationships with key decision makers.
• Develops and executes a strategic and comprehensive business plan for each account, including identifying core customer requirements and mapping the benefits of Astera’s solutions to customer business requirements.
• Timely documentation within CRM / Marketing software of customer contact and activity data is required of this role (e.g. names, titles, contact information, opportunity value, product information, sales stages, probability, business pain, firm-future commitments, etc.).
• Accountable for accurate forecasting, regular quarterly revenue delivery, and the implementation of agreed account and business plans.
• Collaborates with Marketing to develop an effective plan for the accounts, to include events, seminars, and roadmap sessions.
• Promotes Astera’s products, maximizes brand recognition and mindshare at all levels, and publicizes success stories.
• Provides customer feedback to internal stakeholders for product, systems, and process improvements.
• At this level, incumbents will have expert-level knowledge of selling the company’s products and services.
• Assigned accounts are larger and of the most complex nature, where assigned quota is typically higher than lesser-scoped portfolio sales role levels. (Size of quota may be relative to complexity and nature of account set.)
• Incumbents routinely sell-to and interact with executive-level customer decision makers, to include up to CXO levels.

What You’ll Need
• BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• Holds expert-level experience and uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Deep industry knowledge and understanding of a customer’s decision-making process, goals, strategies, and business objectives.
• Expert-level presentation, customer service, financial/business acumen, and negotiation skills at all levels of customer engagement.
• Complete, “big-picture” understanding of the business and technical contexts of key accounts.
• Driven, self-starter who exudes leadership on account set and compels others to get on board.
• Fully adept at consultative effectiveness and establishing trust with internal and external customers.
• Fully functional knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products.

What You’ll Do

Astera Account Executives engage with prospective customers to introduce, engage, and sell Astera's suite of data management solutions. The Account Executive will build trusted relationships to understand and solve business challenges by leveraging the Astera platform and expertise. The Account Executive will leverage their skills to develop opportunities from outbound outreach, account planning, and warm prospecting activities.

The ideal candidate is self-directed in their day-to-day activities to achieve their sales revenue results. They also understand the value of cross-collaboration across the sales team, including fellow Account Executives, pre-sales, SDRs, marketing, and customer success, to both share key learnings and build their knowledge base.
• Develop and execute a territory plan to achieve established net new logo additions and overall revenue goals.
• Maintain active account plans for top prospect accounts in the territory.
• Establish a multi-channel prospecting strategy for building an active opportunity pipeline for the territory.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales development, and sales leadership on activities to support pipeline growth and opportunity advancement.
• Build multiple relationships within accounts assigned to the territory, including analysts, line of business, director, and executive level, and within various levels of IT.
• Drive opportunities through the entire sales process – from discovery to closure.
• Accountable for tracking daily and weekly activity and accurately forecasting monthly/quarterly revenue within our CRM – Dynamics 365.
• Continuously collaborate and maintain relationships with channel partners.

What You’ll Need
• 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, landing new logo business.
• Passion for customer engagement, building partnerships to uncover and solve their business challenges.
• Background in building demand generation motions, discovering leads, and converting opportunities across a targeted territory.
• Effective presentation, customer service, financial/business acumen, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with driving use case discoveries to uncover and maximize intrinsic business value for your prospects and customers.
• Demonstrated understanding of driving a complex and competitive sales process and mapping to the customer's decision-making and buying process.
• Functional knowledge of the hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Lake, Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, Database, Business Intelligence, and/or overall Enterprise Data Platforms.

• Experience in using platforms like HubSpot, Dynamics CRM, LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, SalesLoft, Facebook, Google ads, and Google Analytics.
• Strong and effective communicator via phone, email, and social
