THE OPPORTUNITY
The Assistant Vice President and Executive Director for Enrollment Management provides visionary leadership to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This includes, but is not limited to:
• the development and execution of qualified lead generation strategies;
• a robust communication plan;
• a multi-channel communication strategy;
• the commitment to the recruitment of diverse student populations;
• assessment of enrollment funnel yield activities;
• exceptional and comprehensive visit experience programs;
• maintenance of market share and development of new markets; and
• collaboration with other departments, such as colleges, Auburn Alumni Association, and University Outreach, to advance recruitment efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develops and manages a comprehensive recruitment strategy that is designed to meet annual enrollment goals while collaborating with the Vice President for Enrollment and key stakeholders.
• Develops comprehensive recruitment strategies for Auburn’s undergraduate markets, working collaboratively with both administrative and academic departments as well as leadership to ensure optimal enrollment while maintaining Auburn’s academic profile.
• Directs the operations of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions including new student recruitment, freshmen and transfer admissions, the visitation experience, the recruitment customer relationship management (CRM) Slate, enrollment processing, and strategic enrollment communications.
• Recruits, selects, hires, trains, develops, and provides leadership and direction to the undergraduate admissions team necessary to implement department enrollment goals of recruiting and enrolling new freshmen and transfer students.
• Assists in managing and executing enrollment marketing efforts, including external search campaigns and new marketing collateral.
• Serves as a primary liaison for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to Associate Deans within academic colleges and departments.
• Fosters collaborative and meaningful partnerships between the Office of Admissions and other constituents.
• Provides budget development, management, and monitoring for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
• Represents the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Division of Enrollment Management on university committees, task forces, and special assignments. Serves as a designee for the Vice President for Enrollment Management, as requested.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Education
• A master’s degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education Administration, Educational Administration, Communications, or related field.
Experience
• At least ten years of experience in student recruiting, and/or enrollment management reflecting progressively increasing levels of responsibility and accountability.
• At least five years of experience in undergraduate admissions management, which must include supervision of full-time employees, budget, and policies and procedures in a higher education environment.
Knowledge
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and policies as related to residency requirements and records retention to include Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
• Knowledge of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions procedures, departmental guidelines, and best practices.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for enrollment.
• Knowledge in developing and implementing procedures and policies that meet state and federal enrollment standards and regulations.
Abilities
• Ability to meet externally imposed deadlines that are set and revised beyond one’s control.
• Ability to work with interruptions that influence priorities.
• Ability to work in a situation where it is difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days.
• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate unrelated activities.
• Ability to handle conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
• Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

Essential Functions
• Processes non-faculty unemployment claims by ensuring forms are completed and submitted to the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations and represents the university at appeal hearings when necessary.
• Assists in coordinating employee recognition programs including organizing logistics and developing agendas.
• Supports the development and implementation of employee relations projects, policies, and programs and assists with the employee grievance procedure process.
• Trains, advises, and informs AU employees on employee relation issues.
• Advises management on personnel and employee relation issues.
• Works independently and utilizes resources to problem solve a variety of complex, highly sensitive people issues.
• Responsible for reviewing complaints, as well as planning, conducting, and communicating results of investigations into alleged misconduct.
• Makes recommendations about corrective action and/or termination when warranted.
• Analyzes allegations of the complaints and researches applicable regulations and policies associated with those complaints to identify the appropriate violations to investigate.
• Develops an investigation plan and researches background information related to the complainant, respondent, witnesses, and other related parties. Provides notifications of the investigations to appropriate parties, including respondent, college and department administrators.

Essential Functions
• Processes non-faculty unemployment claims by ensuring forms are completed and submitted to the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations and represents the university at appeal hearings when necessary.
• Assists in coordinating employee recognition programs including organizing logistics and developing agendas.
• Supports the development and implementation of employee relations projects, policies, and programs and assists with the employee grievance procedure process.
• Trains, advises, and informs AU employees on employee relation issues.
• Advises management on personnel and employee relation issues.
• Works independently and utilizes resources to problem solve a variety of complex, highly sensitive people issues.
• Responsible for reviewing complaints, as well as planning, conducting, and communicating results of investigations into alleged misconduct.
• Makes recommendations about corrective action and/or termination when warranted.
• Analyzes allegations of the complaints and researches applicable regulations and policies associated with those complaints to identify the appropriate violations to investigate.
• Develops an investigation plan and researches background information related to the complainant, respondent, witnesses, and other related parties. Provides notifications of the investigations to appropriate parties, including respondent, college and department administrators.

• Works with the Campus Coordinator as they schedule internal and external groups using spaces within the AURIC.
• May require setting up facilities for events, coordinating with caterers, and staying after hours for evening or weekend functions.
• Inspects all spaces (event hall, auditorium, conference rooms, catering kitchen, offices, laboratories, etc.) on a regular basis to ensure items are in proper working order.
• Serves as a liaison with AU Engineering Network Services and AU Office of Information Technology to ensure AV and IT items within all spaces are working correctly.

cardiology service is equipped with GE Vivid E95 echocardiography
with transthoracic and 4D trans-esophageal capabilities, EchoPAC
digital database and review station, Philips Pagewriter TC70 ECG,
digital telemetry, Medtronic Lifepak 20 biphasic defibrillator,
digital Holter units, and on-site pacemaker programmers (Dextronic,
Medtronic, St. Jude). The service has a dedicated stand-alone
interventional technique and catheterization laboratory that is
extensively stocked and is equipped with Biopac hemodynamic
monitoring system, a GE Nuboom surgical imaging system, and a GE
OEC 9900 digital fluoroscopy C-arm for minimally invasive
procedures. The Cardiology service is also supported by digital
radiography, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine, 64-slice CT with
ECG -gating and dedicated cardiac monitor workstation. Other
services available in the hospital include a 3T MRI, video
endoscopy, Varian Edge™ linear accelerator, and radiotherapy
facilities. There is a full-time dedicated technician for the
cardiology clinical service.
Minimum Qualifications
The qualified applicant must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and
have successfully completed at least 1 year of residency training
in cardiology within the American College of Veterinary Internal
Medicine ( ACVIM ) or the European College of Veterinary Internal

The Wilford & Kate Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital is one of the newest in the country. It is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and has a complement of eleven operating rooms. Onsite imaging equipment includes 2 Siemens wireless digital radiology systems, Siemens flat panel detector fluoroscopy, Toshiba Aplio 500 and Aplio 300 ultrasound machines, Siemens Skrya 3T MRI, GE VCT 64-slice scanner, and Enhanced Technologies digital gamma camera with a large rectangular detector. All images are digital and are stored in a central PACS allowing image viewing throughout the hospital. Five board-certified radiologists are available to assist with diagnostic image acquisition and interpretation. Specialty equipment for the neurology/neurosurgery service includes an OPMI® Pentero® surgical operating microscope, Hall Air Drill, DePuy Synthes Electric Pen Drive system, a CUSA, support for intracranial surgery (craniotome and intra-operative ultrasonography), Cadwell® electrodiagnostic equipment (EEG, EMG, BAER, and nerve conduction velocity capabilities), Brainsight® neuronavigation VETG equipment, a Varian Edge stereotactic linear accelerator, and physical rehabilitation service (including an underwater treadmill and infinity pool). Access is available to 3.0T and 7.0T magnets for research and clinical patients at the Auburn University MRI Research Center in the nearby AU Research Park.

Qualified applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and must be Diplomates of ACVIM (Neurology) or ECVN with at least one year of post-residency experience at the time employment begins. For a tenure track position, successful candidates should have experience in research, and additional education such as a Ph.D. is desired but not required. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials. The candidate selected for this position must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States when the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Eligibility for faculty veterinary licensure in the State of Alabama is also required.
