Job Description
The Legal Counsel, Digital (software attorney) provides advice and counsel on digitalization, software and technology matters relating to Avery Dennison’s customer facing digital solutions, the digitization of operations (e.g. smart warehouse), the IT and Technology functions of Avery Dennison (software and service contracts), data privacy, data use rights and strategy and cyber security.
The candidate will be able to handle a wide range of legal matters relating to software and other digital matters, including day-to-day and complex legal projects, will have a practical business and solution-oriented approach, and will be highly collaborative with strong values and ethics.
In this role you will report to the Senior Legal Counsel, Global Digital.
Main responsibilities:
• Provide high quality legal services in a wide range of areas pertaining to software and digital matters generally, including multi-jurisdictional commercial transactions and contracts, litigation and dispute resolution, and data privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal advice as a key member of commercial teams, including reviewing, drafting, negotiating and closing a broad range of technology agreements, including software and Solutions product and service transactions of all kinds, software licensing, SaaS and other cloud transactions, technology, hardware purchases, professional services, maintenance and support arrangements.
• Contribute to efforts continuously improve law department capability for attorneys to successfully counsel all global businesses in their digital projects, initiatives and priorities, including:
• Template development (Software agreements (API, SW licenses), integrated solutions offerings, terms and conditions (including for e-commerce), partner agreements (co development, co marketing), System Integrator service offerings, Saas Agreements, Terms of Use))
• Tools and mentorship on the main challenges faced in software Solutions such as indemnities, limitations on liability and data use rights
• Legislative developments in the ‘Digital’ space and shares learning with the team and the businesses
• Identifies, engages and manages relationships with specialized law firms in the digital world, including supervisory responsibilities for outside counsel on specific projects and litigation.
• Collaborates with Functions in supporting the business to secure opportunities
• Assists with digital technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration of acquired companies and technologies.
Qualifications
• Previously worked for a technology company who is a leader in the technology space, digital solutions organization required.
• Graduate of an accredited law school or J.D.
• A qualified lawyer, with 5+ years of post bar experience, and a member of at least one state bar.
• Experience advising on issues related to software, cloud computing, new technologies, Internet of Things, intellectual property, and data privacy and security
• Deep experience with drafting, negotiating and closing software licensing agreements, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS agreements and other commercial transactions involving software, preferably in the technology industry (experience with software development a plus).
• Intellectual curiosity to learn about new technologies and understand product architecture.
• Excellent communicator who is able to issue-spot and articulate complex and nuanced legal issues clearly and concisely to frontline business and engineering teams and senior executives alike

Pay Range: $125,000-$175,000

Job Responsibilities
• Support the design, development, and implementation of executive compensation programs and policies. Supporting the strategic assessment of program effectiveness and modeling of potential program changes.

Job Description
We are seeking a Site Occupational Health Nurse is a registered nurse who leads, administers, prioritizes, coordinates and provides therapeutic and preventive occupational nursing services to employees at the specified site of responsibility. This is done within the boundaries of the State Nurse Practice Act and Company policies, guidelines and protocols. Internally, the job title will be Sr Occupational Health Nurse.
You will work with the Avery Dennison occupational health nurses, site management, EHS, Risk Management and other internal and external stakeholders to carry out the objectives of the Company’s Occupational Health program by:
• Managing occupational and non-occupational injury and illness with focus on early treatment and return to work.
• Managing preventive health, employee wellness, ergonomics and collaborates with EHS on safety programs.
• Analyzing occupational and non-occupational injury/illness cases occurring at site and developing health/educational/wellness programs to control and/or prevent cases or complications.
Areas of Responsibility (Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assignment):
• Provide emergency care, evaluation and follow up for occupational illness and injuries and provide health consultation, minor treatment and referrals for non occupational issues.
• Manage absences and issues related to FMLA, STD, Workers’ Compensation and LTD claims with focus on early return to work and timely issue resolution.
• Lead site wellness committees and targeted wellness programs and participate in safety-ergonomic teams, incident investigation teams, when appropriate, and Kaizen / 6-Sigma teams, consistent with facility and Company goals and objectives.
• Manage sites Substance Abuse Program including quarterly random testing.
• Manage site’s Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Program and quality programs on all medical equipment in use.
• Manage site’s Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) Program including current training on First Aid/BBP/CPR-AED.
• Conduct occupational health surveillance testing (hearing conservation, health surveillance, respirator clearance and fit testing, etc.), as appropriate and with physician oversight as needed, and report trends to management and/or EHS.
• Coordinate and/or perform assessments for new hires and other health assessments as needed.
• Maintain medical and surveillance records as required by Company and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with Medical and Emergency Service personnel on professional development strategies relating to the occupational environment (including terrorist issues).
• Maintain active membership and participation in regional and national occupational nursing organizations.
• Stay on top of current medical and occupational health issues.
• Development of an annual operating plan / calendar to ensure occupational program improvements and delivery of all regulatory related requirements, e.g. surveillance testing, fit testing.
Qualifications
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) or nurse practitioner (NP) in the state of employment and practice.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
• Two or more years occupational nursing experience
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-S) or working towards certification (highly desired)
• Certification in First Aid, CPR/AED, CAOHC, and ACLS preferred
• Proficient in ergonomic assessments for industrial operations (preferred)
• Familiar with state and federal requirements related to practice including OSHA, DOT, ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and build relationships to motivate change
• Able to prioritize, multi-task, and exceed customer demands
• Strong decision-making and analytical skills
• Travel – less than 10%
• Ability to be on call to support site medical issues as the need arises

The salary range for this position is $74,000 - $124,000 / year.

We are seeking a Site Occupational Health Nurse is a registered nurse who leads, administers, prioritizes, coordinates and provides therapeutic and preventive occupational nursing services to employees at the specified site of responsibility. • Managing occupational and non-occupational injury and illness with focus on early treatment and return to work.
• Managing preventive health, employee wellness, ergonomics and collaborates with EHS on safety programs.
• Analyzing occupational and non-occupational injury/illness cases occurring at site and developing health/educational/wellness programs to control and/or prevent cases or complications.
Areas of Responsibility (Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assignment):
• Provide emergency care, evaluation and follow up for occupational illness and injuries and provide health consultation, minor treatment and referrals for non occupational issues.
• Manage absences and issues related to FMLA, STD, Workers’ Compensation and LTD claims with focus on early return to work and timely issue resolution.
• Lead site wellness committees and targeted wellness programs and participate in safety-ergonomic teams, incident investigation teams, when appropriate, and Kaizen / 6-Sigma teams, consistent with facility and Company goals and objectives.
• Manage sites Substance Abuse Program including quarterly random testing.
• Manage site’s Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Program and quality programs on all medical equipment in use.
• Manage site’s Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) Program including current training on First Aid/BBP/CPR-AED.
• Conduct occupational health surveillance testing (hearing conservation, health surveillance, respirator clearance and fit testing, etc.), as appropriate and with physician oversight as needed, and report trends to management and/or EHS.
• Coordinate and/or perform assessments for new hires and other health assessments as needed.
• Maintain medical and surveillance records as required by Company and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with Medical and Emergency Service personnel on professional development strategies relating to the occupational environment (including terrorist issues).
• Maintain active membership and participation in regional and national occupational nursing organizations.
• Stay on top of current medical and occupational health issues.
• Development of an annual operating plan / calendar to ensure occupational program improvements and delivery of all regulatory related requirements, e.g. surveillance testing, fit testing.
Qualifications
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) or nurse practitioner (NP) in the state of employment and practice.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
• Two or more years occupational nursing experience
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-S) or working towards certification (highly desired)
• Certification in First Aid, CPR/AED, CAOHC, and ACLS preferred
• Proficient in ergonomic assessments for industrial operations (preferred)
• Familiar with state and federal requirements related to practice including OSHA, DOT, ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation

The salary range for this position is $74,000 - $124,000 / year.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
• Assist in the development of EHS program components: operational procedures, work instructions, training materials, standards, etc.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Company EHS programs and develop facility-specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company requirements.
• Track, trend, and communicate EHS performance, regulatory compliance, and improvement initiatives. Monitor plant operations on key regulatory metrics, compile information, and develop regulatory reports.
• Serve as a resource to the site leadership in regard to EHS matters and act as the daily point of contact for all EHS issues. Assists line and staff management in understanding OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and standards, including guidance on handling OSHA/EPA compliance, inspections, and citations.
• Implement environmental, health, and safety education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.
• Act as a resource and mentor to facility safety teams. Investigate all releases, injuries, and near misses.
• Reviews plant incident statistics and makes recommendations for correction of problem areas.
• Conduct periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate safety, sanitary, and regulatory standards.
• Review proposed management of change (MOC) and approve them from a safety/environmental perspective. Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance departments ensuring safety/environmental compliance of projects and equipment.
• Maintain and implement an industrial hygiene program. Coordinate and conduct periodic industrial hygiene monitoring of noise, air quality, and other IH levels.
• Use Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) methodology to drive improvements in Environmental and Safety programs. Engineer solutions to occupational exposures. Drive continuous improvement and deliver strong results from behavioral-based processes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Environmental Engineering/Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of industrial safety and occupational EHS within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with OSHA PSM or similarly structured safety management systems.
• Strong leadership, managerial, facilitation, training, and mentoring skills.
• Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Experience in life safety codes: EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and industrial hygiene.

In this diverse role of high impact, we are hiring an energized, versatile, and highly driven Segment Strategy Analyst to join our Avery Dennison Smartrac team (rfid.averydennison.com) home-based in Europe with a direct reporting line to our Global Segment Innovation Lead - Healthcare & Industrial - Avery Dennison Smartrac.
Your Mission:
• On a daily basis, and as part of a global team, you will develop a uniform and comprehensive segment strategy, including product positioning, as well as create a harmonized price/business model strategy across the different segments and sales channels.
• Traveling (15% of your time) internationally, you will support the optimization of our RFID product portfolio necessary to meet the needs across our new and existing market segments and help us define the value proposition of our fast-growing product lines.
• By creating technical content to explain our new solutions’ unique selling points and added values for each market segment, you will provide external presentation decks, plan webinars/training, and drive alignment with our external partners.
• Eventually, while working together with our product line management, marketing communication, segment innovation, and sales/market development teams, you will align on the product or solution positioning in the market.
Qualifications

• Degree in Product Marketing / Marketing / Business Administration / Economics / Engineering, or a related background
• Previous work experience of 5+ years in project management and product marketing of a B2B technical product or solution, including rollout/launch in cross-regional projects or initiatives

As the Regional Pricing & Business Analyst, you are responsible for providing fact based recommendations to the business leaders with the objective to drive sustainable & profitable growth.
