• Develops a training program for Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) in order to obtain and/or maintain a CWI designation.
• Maintains testing facility records.
• Adheres to college, federal and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations.

Minimum Qualifications
• Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) designation and any other certification as required by American Welding Society policies
• Five(5) years of experience as a CWI (includes current year)
• Ten(10) years of documentable welding experience
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License or the ability to obtain such within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Experience in a postsecondary education environment
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; primarily, Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Welding Educator designation from AWS
• Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Sales experience highly preferred
• Three(3) years management experience

Position Summary...
The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the organization's design, development, maintenance, and availability of the database resources. For example, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM), Microsoft Power Platform suite (PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, and data integrations) and Great Plains (GP) use MS-SQL as their back-end database. Additionally, the DBA works with business unit leaders to understand the reporting and business intelligence (BI) requirements and create reports to satisfy those requirements.
Essential Duties
• The DBA must be MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) expert. Using SSMS, the DBA will monitor, optimize, and secure all database systems across the network.
• Using MS SQL Reporting Studio (SSRS), the DBA will design end-user reports across all platforms. For example, design and develop reports based on end-user requirements such as CRM reports, GP reports, and BI dashboards.
• Using SSMS, the DBA will ensure server and application health and responsiveness.
• The DBA works alongside developers and designers to create database solutions. For example, the Full Stack Developer will need the DBA to create database tables, indexes, stored procedures, etc., to support client portal enhancements.

Essential Duties
• Oversee and administer the operations of the Society’s accreditation programs, including the AWS Accredited Test Facilities and AWS Certified Welding Fabricators, as well as CRAW Approved Test Centers.
• Responsible for Accreditation Department financial results including revenues, costs, surplus, support of programs, and budget management.
• Responsible for the strategy and growth of Accreditation programs including driving program changes and establishing strategic partnerships both domestically and international.
• Contract, manage and evaluate auditors for AWS accreditation program.
• Support the Certification Committee in the maintenance of existing accreditation programs.
• Serve as committee secretary to all Certification Subcommittees involved in developing accreditation standards and auditing practices as assigned by the Sr. VP, Welding & Technology
• Utilize auditing and quality control expertise in the auditing of the AWS International Agents.
• Provide technical guidance to Certification Operations and Development staff on accreditation, auditing, and welder qualification issues.
