Job Summary:
The ACC's Safety Division is responsible for ensuring the citizens of Arizona have Railroad and Pipeline systems that are operated and maintained as safely as possible. The Pipeline Section enforces federal and state regulations and provides guidance to pipeline operators, excavators and utility owners.
Job Duties:
This 811 Inspector's primary duty is to monitor excavation activities in Arizona and provide information and training to excavators and utility owners to prevent damages, personal injuries and deaths associated with underground facilities. You will conduct field inspections and investigate construction sites of all types of underground facilities to confirm compliance with all applicable damage prevention Federal and State regulation requirements. Responsibilities include gathering evidence to pursue and levy fines to any facility owner and/or excavator who violates the Underground Facilities Law.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
-Skills in engineering and utility design or pipeline / underground utility operations, maintenance, construction or management of natural gas, LPG, LNG or petroleum pipeline systems operations;
