THE OPPORTUNITY
The Applications Intern will gain knowledge of a corporate, start-up applications and product design processes by engaging with our dynamic team of applications engineers on projects. The Applications Intern will also have the opportunity to own a project. Projects within the Applications Team vary in scope and function. Some projects are focused on product design and application development, working on guiding a prospective client’s object through design and production optimization cycles. Other projects are focused on process engineering, making the operation of our machines and our processes more robust and efficient. This is all about working with the Applications Team inside and outside of a lab to support the printing and design processes.
Specifically, this person will:
• Assist in printing parts/monitoring prints.
• Post process and finish parts.
• Prepare equipment for printing.
• Work on a project that supports the goals of the Applications Team and aligns with the interest of the intern.
