As a Barclays Climate Management Strategy Associate, you will work with the Head of Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Climate Strategy Management. What will you be doing?
• Owning the delivery of CTF evaluations, including driving data collection and validation activities
• Researching client transition plans, operating related models, and implementing technology solutions
• Preparing synthesized summaries of key insights and present analysis and insight in a professional format with good attention to detail
• Working in a team environment, building relationships, and partnering with internal stakeholders across the CIB and impacted Functions
• Supporting communications with CIB coverage teams and other stakeholders on key activities to monitor and report on progress
• Managing individual day-to-day activities, delivering on all assigned tasks, maintaining visibility of related issues & dependencies, and proactively escalating any identified issues
• Developing expertise in climate change issues, decarbonization strategies across sectors, and Barclays climate policies, standards, and targets
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree is required & experience working in a wholesale banking or financial services consulting environment, and basic knowledge of Banking business drivers
• Good quantitative/analytical, written, and verbal communication skills: Capable of building complex, but easy to read, Excel models
• Familiar with operating across departments in large and complex organizations
• Basic knowledge of risk management & regulatory demands
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Prior experience or knowledge of climate scenarios, decarbonization pathways or other relevant climate change topics
