We are seeking a full-time pastor to join our pastoral team. • Oversee the Quest leadership team (composed of lay volunteers and Quest members) to organize and manage Quest activities and programs
• Identify, recruit and develop potential future leaders within Quest. Create a leadership training structure and develop curriculum that prepares them for serving in this capacity
• Provide opportunities for Questors to use their spiritual gifts to serve each other and members of the broader church
• Continue to develop the vision for Quest as a ministry within FBC. Understand the similarities and differences in needs between college and young adults, and determine the best ways to address them.
• Develop and oversee outreach strategies for Quest
• Develop and oversee retention strategies for college students who grew up at FBC and return home for summer and/or after graduation
Oversee the young married couples ministry - 25% time
• Start a ministry for young married couples. Many of these couples are involved in leading youth or attending other ministries, but do not have one of their own.
• Develop a vision and structure for the group.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The full-time Teaching and Discipleship Pastor of Iglesia del Pueblo oversees the theological education and formation of IdP. In partnership with the Iglesia del Pueblo Campus Pastor they will give oversight to all the classes, discipleship and theological training, as well as preach 3-5 times annually, for IdP as it supports the Purpose, Values and Mission of Wheaton Bible Church – Love God, Love One Another, Love our Neighbors, and Love the Nations.
Teaching and Discipling (40%)
The Teaching and Discipling Pastor of IdP is responsible for planning, developing and executing the discipleship classes, mid-size bible studies and communities dedicated to the study of the Scriptures in IdP. This includes weekly classes, seasonal ministry events and annual special events.
Training and Reproducing Leaders (30%)
The Teaching and Discipleship Pastor is responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and care of all IdP teachers and trainers.
• Recruit – Implement annual times and processes for recruitment of new Teachers and Trainers.
• Train – Plan and execute regular teachers equipping and training opportunities. Provide ongoing coaching engagements for teachers including the scheduling of these teachers in our different communities.
• Care – Recognize our current and future teachers, ensuring the existence of a healthy culture upon which to grow and multiply.
Developing Discipleship Resources (15%)
Write, develop, and produce discipleship resources for IdP with the purpose of growing in our biblical understanding and practical application of what it means to Love God, Love One Another, Love our Neighbors, and Love the Nations.
Shepherding and Pastoral (10%)
Encourage, pray, and work alongside our Latino Community at Iglesia del Pueblo and beyond, attending spiritual needs, having spiritual conversations and creating bridges with the community, edifying the believers in our church family and encouraging saints of the Latino church at large.
General Church Staff Involvement (5%)
Shepherding Team
Serve as a shepherd on-call to meet the general needs of the church congregation. Function as a member of the church’s Shepherding Team, attending development meetings, staff prayer, and participating in baptisms and performing weddings and funerals as assigned.
All Staff
Serve in churchwide projects or ministry initiatives such as Christmas and Easter services, CareFest, Missions Fest and other special events. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Participate as a member of the staff team and be available to assist in general duties as opportunities arise.
