Responsibilities This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Office of Leasing and Plans, Adjudication Section in Jefferson, LA. At the full performance level (GS-7) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Enters, updates, and maintains all lease administrative information in Assignment Tracking System (ATS) and Document Tracking System (DTS) on OCS leases into the BOEM database.
• Analyzes, classifies, and indexes records for release on the BOEM website and for transfer to storage facility.
• Assists customers performing record title chain searches, current and past operators, type and percentage of ownership rights, bonding coverage, OSFR coverage, current qualification designation, and pending actions not in TIMS.
• Provides accurate guidance to customers regarding post-sale data, bidder requirements, bonding requirements, corporate signature authority, EEO compliance, OSFR coverage, and EFT and royalty payments.
• Keeps records for time and attendance; Accepts, logs, and distributes incoming mail; Greets customers and responds to customer's requests in person, through email, and over the telephone
• Accesses, references, researches, verifies, files, retrieves, indexes, and safeguards documents in the application of pertinent regulations, procedures and instructions in the Adjudication Section.
• Reviews documents received from the customer and verifies that information is correct, identifying errors, misinformation, or lack of necessary information or documents/fees and properly advises the client of any problematic situation based on OCS Regulations, Departmental, and/or BOEM policy. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval. This position is included in a bargaining unit. The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), Local 3457, is the exclusive representative of all employees in this bargaining unit. Salary Information GS-06: $42,022 (Step 1) - $54,625 (Step 10) per annum GS-07: $46,696 (Step 1) - $60,703 (Step 10) per annum First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level.
