Teacher (Adults & Young Learners)- Part time

Role Purpose

To provide learners with a rewarding and stimulating English language learning experience. To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English. To support the wider aims of British Council and its cultural relations mission.

Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:

This post will have the following core functions:

Teaching
• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups taking into account individual learning needs and modes of learning
• Ensure teaching meets British Council Global Teaching Standards, as well as organisational and learner expectations.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout their learning, and actively promote learner autonomy and progress

Teaching Centre Activities
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials and related services in order to meet students’ needs by actively working as a member of the teaching team
• Support local marketing and promotional strategy, and assist the teaching centre team in delivering excellent customer service through dissemination of information and communications with students
• Complete teaching related administrative tasks to specified standards and uphold professional responsibilities and values. Ensure British Council’s values and behaviours are reflected in their work

Customers & Stakeholders
• Maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues
• Ensure customers are aware of British Council’s cultural relations role and help develop opportunity for students to gain some understanding of the UK and its values and to participate in inter-cultural interactions either in class or as out of class activity

Compliance
• Ensure guidelines and policies are applied and upheld in relation to Safeguarding, Data Protection, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Special Educational Needs and Diversity, Health and Safety

Role specific knowledge and experience:

Minimum requirements:
• Undergraduate degree
• Cambridge CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL (global minimum standard)

Desirable:
• Recognised diploma in EFL i.e. DELTA/Trinity Diploma
• Experience in teaching relevant age groups

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to develop and strengthen relationships, identify needs, and expand opportunities with third tier of key accounts / stake holders to meet business
objectives. The role also requires assistance in proactive problem solving by devising strategy that add value, and meeting deadlines. The role is responsible for planning on day-to-day basis for key accounts. Working closely with the different teams to promote cross-selling opportunities by working closely with both internal and external stakeholders across exam products & services.

Main opportunities/challenges for this role:
• Assist in achieving sales/ account targets set internally as per the Exams growth strategy and Cambridge.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by managing the relationships with on boarded schools from inception to submission of entries.
• Assist to Capitalize on opportunities by foreseeing the country conditions
• Assist to Build and deepen networks critical to business growth (private and public sectors).
• Assist in analyzing and reporting on changed commercial planning scenario's for strengthening relationships within Exam networks.

Role Purpose:

Supports the Cultural Engagement team (Head of Arts and Head of Education) in the implementation of arts and education programmes and projects in compliance with British Council policies and procedures including financial admin, reporting and data collection, operational project delivery and managing relations with delivery partners.

Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:

Managing self and others
• Holds vendors and suppliers to account for delivering services.
• Has the ability to work independently and manage workload against project deadlines.
• Plan and report on project financial plans and budget expenditure and forecasting to Head of Arts and Head of Education; manages smaller budgets.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date records on all financial transactions as per audit requirements.
• Ensure relationships with vendors are maintained and payments are processed on time and in accordance with FABS on-line system (SAP Finance) guidelines.

Project Management

Requirements:
