Role Purpose
To provide learners with a rewarding and stimulating English language learning experience. To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English. To support the wider aims of British Council and its cultural relations mission.
Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:
This post will have the following core functions:
Teaching
• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups taking into account individual learning needs and modes of learning
• Ensure teaching meets British Council Global Teaching Standards, as well as organisational and learner expectations.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout their learning, and actively promote learner autonomy and progress
Teaching Centre Activities
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials and related services in order to meet students’ needs by actively working as a member of the teaching team
• Support local marketing and promotional strategy, and assist the teaching centre team in delivering excellent customer service through dissemination of information and communications with students
• Complete teaching related administrative tasks to specified standards and uphold professional responsibilities and values. Ensure British Council’s values and behaviours are reflected in their work
Customers & Stakeholders
• Maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues
• Ensure customers are aware of British Council’s cultural relations role and help develop opportunity for students to gain some understanding of the UK and its values and to participate in inter-cultural interactions either in class or as out of class activity

Role Purpose:
Supports the Cultural Engagement team (Head of Arts and Head of Education) in the implementation of arts and education programmes and projects in compliance with British Council policies and procedures including financial admin, reporting and data collection, operational project delivery and managing relations with delivery partners.

Managing self and others
• Holds vendors and suppliers to account for delivering services.

Role Purpose:

Role Purpose
The Marketing Performance Manager Asia Pacific will manage marketing performance analytics for the region, providing advice to the regional, cluster and country marketing teams, sharing knowledge and best practice and helping to ensure alignment across the British Council. Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:

• Carries out customer journey analysis and funnel building to continually improvement the customer journey and improve results.
• Manages attribution initiatives in a changing digital measurement environment.
• Produces and communicates insight relating to regional campaign performance.
• Works with regional marketing teams and to define targeting criteria and support execution of campaigns based on those criteria.
Internal customer focus
• Works closely with regional marketing colleagues to analyse and optimise campaign performance.
• Provides accurate data, insights analysis, and forecasts for decision makers and stakeholders.
• Delivers actionable insights than can support and drive impactful decisions.
• Communicates results in a clear and concise manner, with an understanding of data visualization and the importance of drawing accurate conclusions from multiple data sources.
Service/Portfolio/Product improvement
• Analyses regional performance marketing channels such as email, paid search/social, making recommendations for optimisation.
• Develops a set of dashboards for the regional marketing team that provide clear visibility on the performance of their channels.
• Supports marketing planning process with insights on the impact of marketing activity on revenue.
• Performs analysis and provides insights for paid and organic traffic channels to understand what marketing channels are the most effective.
• Supports testing and optimisation of campaigns and initiatives through testable data-driven hypotheses, tracking, measurement and analysis.
• Tests, measures and optimises different approaches.
Sector/Subject/Functional expertise
• Supports the regional marketing team with the management of tracking and tagging using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Manages data analytics projects dedicated to improving campaign performance.
• Manages performance marketing reporting initiatives and supports ongoing performance marketing reporting needs of local markets.
• Performs quantitative & qualitative analysis supporting the launch of new products and propositions.
Relationship and Stakeholder management
• Supports the Regional Head of Insights on specific performance marketing projects that increase campaign scale and efficiency including measurement, attribution, and reporting.
• Works collaboratively and closely with the Regional Head of Insights to reduce duplication and ensure alignment and joined up thinking.
• Fosters strong relationships with other key functions and teams such as Marketing Operations, SBU Insights and counterparts in other regional marketing hubs.
Managing self and others
• Plans and prioritises work activities to ensure effective delivery of diverse responsibilities and deliverables over a quarterly to annual time horizon.
• Determines work plans and coordinates input from others (who may be outside the direct management line) to meet specific objectives.
The main essential knowledge and experience points that we are looking for you to evidence are:
• Relevant degree in statistics/ economics/ marketing or relevant industry experience as the minimum
• Significant experience managing marketing performance analytics in a large and complex organisation
• Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to summarise results and present recommendations
• Project management skills
• Strong experience in data analytics with record of delivering business growth by guiding decision making
• Strong proficiency in SQL, BigQuery and/or Python
• Experience with dash-boarding tools such as Tableau, Looker or Google Analytics

Role Purpose
Invigilate examinations to the standard required by the British Council and the relevant Exams Boards or Awarding Bodies.
Main Accountabilities
The role supports the British Council Examinations Team with the day-to-day operations at examination venues across Trinidad & Tobago. This may include, but is not limited to::
• Assisting with the set-up of examination venues by placing banners, examination signage in accordance with outlined procedures
• Admitting candidates into the examination room by checking attendance dockets and IDs
• Assigning candidates to their respective workstations by admitting them on the relevant software platform
• Reading and being knowledgeable of respective examination rules prior to the start of each examination session
• Filling out examination room seating plans using the templates provided
• Distributing authorised examination materials to candidates
• Clearly and audibly reading examination instructions to candidates prior to the start of examinations and the times indicated by the Exam Board
• Ensuring that candidates adhere to examination rule whilst inside the examination room
• Reporting queries raised by candidates to British Council Examination Team the same day
• Dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with exam board procedures
• Completing attendance sheets for each examination session
• Ensuring candidates do not remove any authorised materials from the examination room
• Checking online reports to ensure that all exams were successfully uploaded at the end of each exam sitting
• Following all relevant guidelines and British Council policies in the areas: Safeguarding, Anti-Fraud and EDI
• Attending briefing and training sessions as requested by the British Council Examinations team.
Requirements
• Experience in dealing with internal and external customers
• Computer Skills – working knowledge on the use of computers and the internet
• Passes in at least 5 CXC Ordinary level subjects

• We are looking for part time Exams invigilators.
• Candidates must already have the right to work in Trinidad and Tobago.
