This position will work to support the missions of: Career Engagement, which is to provide opportunities for students and alumnae/i to maximize their liberal arts education, preparing them to make intentional decisions about their futures; Civic Engagement which is to collaborate with community-based organizations to prepare students to be socially responsible leaders and citizens through purposeful action, reflection, and learning; and the overall Center, which is to prepare liberal arts students and alumnae/i to be effective, self-aware leaders in their chosen life pursuits.

The Assistant Director for Employer Relations will organize, implement and market all activities related to employer recruitment of students and alumnae/i for jobs and internships, including the Campus Recruiting Program. This position will coordinate the recruiting program, which is comprised of employer partners who are hiring Bryn Mawr undergraduates for jobs and internships; this program is highly coordinated with Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges. Connect with 15-20 new external partners (alumnae/i, employers, friends of the college) per academic year to expand the Bryn Mawr network.

Programming/Administrative
• Plan and coordinate career fairs and meet-ups both at Bryn Mawr and across the Tri-Co, and assist with other consortia signature events. Plan and facilitate career-related programming to connect students and employers. Conduct workshops focused on student preparation and orientation to campus recruiting, interviewing, ethics and recruiting program policies. Organize and maintain recruiting events and deadlines in Handshake and College calendars. Ensure Center website is up-to-date with current recruiting program dates and events. Represent Bryn Mawr College and specifically the Career & Civic Engagement Center at networking receptions. Collaborate with Senior Associate Director to regularly update recruiting policies for employer & student participation in recruiting program. Produce effective communications for students highlighting upcoming recruiting activities on and off campus. Track data and create reports on employer-student engagement. Proactively report to Career & Civic Engagement Center staff to identify trends. Serve as a key member of the Career & Civic Engagement Center staff and assist with the Center’s strategic planning.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:

Advanced degree preferred. Professional studies and / or extensive experience in student development, higher education, counseling, marketing or related field desired. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be highly adept at using technology and social media. Candidates should have experience with data analysis and data management, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with recruiting platforms, especially Handshake, is a plus. Should have a demonstrated record of success in proactive outreach to employers and alumnae/i. Strong marketing focus, team-oriented, and ability to work effectively in collaborative environment. Demonstrated ability and commitment to working with a diverse student and alumnae/i population. Commitment to working in liberal arts environment and ability to successfully represent the College and articulate the value of a liberal arts education to external partners.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000. Interviews will begin in April
