Requirements:
The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) seeks a Press Secretary to direct media engagement and execution of C2ES’s communications strategy. Primary responsibilities include direct media engagement, production of talking points and media releases, and managing print interviews and tv and radio bookings. The Press Secretary will also support development of communications strategy, management of the C2ES website, social media strategy, execution of live and virtual events, and other activities promoting C2ES products and activities to engage policymakers, the business community, the energy and climate research community, other stakeholders, and the general public. Qualified applicants will have 3 or more years of communications experience, strong existing relationships with climate and energy media contacts, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Major Responsibilities:
• Maintain and develop relationships with climate and energy policy reporters?and manage media inquiries for staff and background information
• Draft press releases and talking points for C2ES publication releases and interviews
• Develop relationships to facilitate regular radio and tv bookings?for C2ES President and fellows and manage necessary media training
• Manage media lists and social media engagement with journalists
• Draft media plans for product and publication rollouts, including fact sheets and resources for journalists
• Maintain a catalog of issue-focused talking points to be deployed and updated as needed
• Coordinate background meetings with reporters and fellows or senior staff
• Collaborate to plan and execute in-person and virtual events
• Act as spokesperson for C2ES as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Maintains an active and extensive network of influential reporters and columnists in the fields of climate, energy, environment, economics, and financial institutions, working in in the United States and internationally
• Excellent written and oral skills
• 3 or more years of work experience in the communications field, including extensive experience working with and pitching journalists with tier one outlets and trade publications
• Ability to think critically and work collaboratively and/or independently as needed
• Proficiency in WordPress, Cision, Canva, Zoom Webinar, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro is preferred
• Willingness to learn and pitch in at all levels
• Undergraduate degree in communications, public policy, environmental studies, or a related field.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will support the work of the international team. The Associate Fellow will report to the Vice President of International Strategies and will work closely with the Associate Director of International Strategies.
Responsibilities and duties include:
• Track, monitor and report on international climate policy developments, with a 50% focus on international climate finance and contribute to other research and analytical support as needed
• Contribute to the publication of policy briefs, blogs, web content and other written materials
• Support the international team’s engagement in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations and related meetings, including informal meetings with international climate negotiators, particularly through planning, coordinating, organizing, and managing logistics for workshops, briefings, and other events

Position Summary: The Innovation Fellow will serve as C2ES's expert on policies designed to promote clean energy technology and deployment, and will act as the staff lead in convening working groups around a set of four critical path technologies.The Fellow will report to the Director for U.S. Policy and Outreach, and will work closely with the Director of Energy Analysisand the Vice President for Business Engagement and her team.
Major responsibilities:
• Serve as staff expert on innovation- and technology-related policy topics;
• Act as staff lead inthe programmatic development and convening of working groups around critical-path technologies, including direct air capture, hydrogen, long duration energy storage, and sustainable aviation fuels;
• Conduct research and analysis on policies supporting the full lifecycle of technology innovation and deployment (e.g., federal funding for research, development, and demonstration; tax credits; purchase subsidies; trade-related policies, etc.);
• Produce policy briefs, blog posts and other topical web content, and other written material related to technology policy;
• Work with experts from across the organization, companies and other partners to develop recommendations to accelerate the deployment of critical-path clean energy technologies as a means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and generating economic and other community benefits;
• Contribute a technology policy perspective and relevant expertise toC2ESresearch and analysis of related topics in climate and clean energy policy, including regional economic opportunities, climate and trade, and others;
• Support C2ES's engagement in the federal appropriations process, including engagement with congressional offices and submission of appropriations requests;
• Raise C2ES's external visibility and thought leadership on technology policy, including by representing C2ES at external workshops, conferences, and other forums;
• Cultivate a network of, and expand the organization's contacts with,relevant experts and researchers in academia, research institutions, and other NGOs; and
• Contribute other research and analytical support as needed;

Position Summary: The Manager or Senior Manager, Innovation will play a key role in C2ES’s expanding work on technological innovation and will act as the staff lead in convening working groups composed of companies and other national thought leaders on a set of four critical path technologies. Ideation and innovation Work with the President to regularly assess and refine organizational strategy, development, and impact, as well as plans for growth.
Work with the President, CFO, and program leads to refine program strategies, explore and create new programmatic opportunities, and identify potential funding sources.
With the leadership team, collaboratively develop and test ideas that can inspire support and engagement from donors, strategic advisors, partners, and influencers.
Fundraising Work with the President to develop a strategy to grow the organization's donor base and fundraising success, with an initial focus on major individual donors and family offices.
