About The Position

The Partnership seeks to add a part-time Bookkeeper to its Operations team of four. The Bookkeeper will support the organization's accounting functions through A/P, A/R, payroll, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, and other related tasks. This part-time position has the future potential for expanding to full-time.

Basic Duties & Responsibilities
• Accounts Payable:
• Process monthly billings for contracts and time sensitive mid-cycle billings as needed
• Process monthly collections, follow-up on past due payments, and notify appropriate staff
• Maintain current and accurate billing/payment and phase schedule for all active contracts
• Accounts Receivable
• Issue invoices to customers and ensure that receivables are collected promptly
• Process monthly billings for contracts and time sensitive mid-cycle billings as needed.
• Process monthly collections, follow-up with client, and notify appropriate staff
• Maintain current and accurate billing/payment and phase schedule for all active contracts
• Assist clients on billing questions.
• Reconcile bank, investment accounts, and all balance sheet accounts on monthly basis.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date transaction records in Quickbooks
• Collect timesheet details and process biweekly payroll via ADP.
• Provide audit process support as needed including document preparations, researching, and resolving issues as they arise.
• Aid Finance Manager in preparation of annual budget as needed and input adopted budget into QuickBooks software
• Maintain schedules as requested (eg. Fixed Asset Inventory, Depreciation, 403(b) contributions, rent schedules, etc.)
• Aid Finance Manager with preparation of monthly and year-end statements of Income & Expense, Balance Sheet, or other reports as necessary
• Remit all required taxes on a timely schedule.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system, including vendor, bank, credit card, payroll and related files by Fiscal Year.
• Perform routine administrative functions (e.g., submission of timesheets, participating in performance evaluations, etc.).
• Assist the Finance Manager and Director of Operations by preparing periodic reports and special projects as requested.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in nonprofit bookkeeping and/or accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field may substitute for one year of direct work experience.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent technology skills and the ability to learn new financial, payroll, and other technology.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with Quickbooks required.
• Experience with ADP strongly preferred.
• Initiative to work both proactively and independently to support the Finance Manager in managing the organization’s financial success.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams/departments.
• Alignment with the Partnership’s mission and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19 or able and willing to obtain vaccinations prior to beginning employment.

Experience
