What You’ll Do:
You’re an experienced IT Support Specialist, who can troubleshoot a Mac in your sleep and identify a DNS problem from a mile away. You will be responding to, resolving, and escalating support requests that come in from Slack or Jira tickets. You’ll follow documentation where it exists and help create or update it as needed. You’ll end up becoming a ‘Face of IT’, with many fans across every department. This is a 6 month contract role and based in the Bay Area, this person will need to work out of our San Francisco office 1-2 days per week.
• Take ownership of IT support requests, triaging and escalating as needed
• Provide technical support to staff for Mac, Windows, Chrome and mobile devices
• Manage access control for a wide variety of SaaS and On-Premise applications
• Advocate for end users, ensuring nobody suffers in silence
• Learn our internal tools and systems, documenting new ones as they arrive
• Ship and receive equipment for new hires and other employees
• Be on call from time to time for special deployments or systems updates

Who You Are:

Summary of Clinical Duties/Options: The CALM practicum is a 1-year commitment that typically runs from the beginning of September to the end of August. The practicum is expected to take 20 hours a week, 10 of which are expected to be direct service (clinical contact) hours. The remaining 10 hours are expected to be used for case management, meetings, supervision (1 hour individual... supervision and 2 hour group supervision weekly), and documentation. Practicum students typically carry a caseload of 10 clients. Practicum students are required to complete Medi-Cal billing for a portion of their caseload, as well as register with the CA Board of Psychology as Psychological Associates.
Practicum students are assigned to a primary treatment team: the Childhood Trauma Treatment Team, which focuses on trauma recovery for children 6-17 years old, or the Great Beginnings Team, which focuses on prevention and early intervention for parents and children ages 0-9. Despite having a primary team, it's common for practicum students to carry cases from different treatment teams based on student interest and/or agency need. Primary treatment modalities include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
Type of Clients/Patients: High risk/underserved individuals, trauma/abuse victims, young child, school-aged child, adolescent, adult, collateral/parent, family. Opportunities to provide therapy in Spanish.
Average Time Commitment: 20 hours/week, hours vary (day and evening; most clients are seen between 3pm and 7pm)
Average Number of Face-to-Face Client Hours: 7/week, up to 10

Supervision: Practicum students receive one hour of individual supervision and two hours of group supervision per week. Group and individual supervisors are licensed psychologists. Practicum students conducting PCIT are strongly encouraged to attend bi-weekly PCIT supervision with CALM’s in-house PCIT trainer/LMFT.
