The Advancement Services Team’s mission is to provide essential infrastructure to the organization by collecting, organizing, maintaining, analyzing and circulating information as a strategic partner in support of advancement initiatives. The Data and Gifts Coordinator will be working with the Advancement Services Team and will report to the Director, Advancement Services. The position will be responsible for helping to maintain data integrity and gift processes for CAm, in coordination with the Advancement Services Team, as well as with other members of the CAm team.
Key Responsibilities
• Support gifts process by entering, processing, and tracking gifts to CAm, including gifts via different vehicles (i.e., cash, checks, credit cards, direct debit, wire transfers)
• Gather and maintain gifts documentation, sorted by batch, to ease in reconciliation and allocation questions.
• Prepare tax receipts and gift acknowledgment letters.
• Respond to donor inquiries by phone and email in a timely manner.
• Digital records maintenance including entering new contacts into database, and confirming biographic, employment, education, and contact information for existing contacts.
• Handle returned mail by processing records updates and tracking returns for constituent address management.
• Collaborate with team to ensure data integrity in coding throughout database.
• Assist with other Advancement Services and Finance and Operations projects as needed.
Candidate Requirements
• Experience with databases and/or knowledge of the general principles of relational databases and an interest in learning their real-world applications.
• Demonstrate ability with Excel and/or spreadsheets and is comfortable with numbers and data.
• The ideal candidate should be able to work cooperatively and communicate in a professional manner with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• The individual should possess the ability to work both independently and as a part of the team, must have excellent organizational skills, very good project management skills, great attention to detail, and be able to work with deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
Work Environment
• Must have the ability to comfortably work in an open area with a moderate level of background noise.
• CAm is currently operating on a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days working remotely.
• CAm requires that all staff members be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is required.
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum.
