The Repository Technician requires developing a working knowledge of technical, operative, or administrative methods and practices through intensive on-the-job training. This position follows standard procedures and precautionary measures to work under minimal supervision, communicate effectively, and make sound decisions.
Responsibilities
• Receive incoming materials and paperwork (e.g. manifest) and prepare samples and paperwork (e.g. waybill) for delivery in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements including domestic and international requirements for transport of hazardous and/or biological materials. Coordinate with shipping service providers, track shipments to final delivery and confirm with sender/destination.
• Ensure appropriate handling and storage of temperature-controlled materials. Ensure material and sample data are accurately entered and tracked in inventory system. Create batches in the inventory system based on information and specific requirements provided by customers. Review and confirm inventory work completed by technicians in training.
• Provide support to resolve elevated customer inquiries, such as discrepancies in shipments or quality complaints. Report all complaints and process deviations.
• Monitor temperature-controlled storage systems and document systems alerts. Maintain freezers and tanks. Maintain an organized storage system and inventory of internal specimens.
• Maintain repository files, such as shipping records and transaction records. Keep track of specimen movement history and resolve inventory inaccuracies.
• Follow proper safety protocols, materials and equipment are maintained, and inventory is properly stored to ensure viability when transferring and transporting materials.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts regularly.
• Perform functions following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the effective use of equipment, methods of storage and retrieval, general laboratory procedures, and systematic data entry.
• Share observations of current protocols and procedures with Repository management to develop/improve repository operations.
• Respond to emergencies outside of routine business hours, including timely travel to the site as part of the response team, as necessary.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma and 2-5 years' experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data entry, shipping/receiving, and/or sample management.
• Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable.
• Experience working with a company wide enterprise based system (ERP/MRP) is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Working competence with PCs including MS/Windows, MS/Excel, MS/Word and an ability to learn other MS/Windows based applications.
• APICS Certification a plus.
• Knowledge of methods to handle, process, and store biological specimens using a computerized storage and retrieval system.
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory and quality control/assurance procedures.
• Must be able to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to complete work under tight deadlines and have strong organizational skills

Position Summary
The Head of Technology Services will serve in a strategic planning
and leadership capacity in directing the planning and development
of the University at Buffalo Libraries’ digital collection and
repository infrastructure. This includes supporting and overseeing
information technology operations related to end user services,
network operations, information security, library network

As the Head of Technology Services, primary duties will include:
• Overseeing the establishment of a department, including

ingestion, curation, and access in support of research across the
university.
• Developing the digital collections repository infrastructure
and coordinating with the Data Services Librarian and other staff
in providing leadership for the establishment of a collaborative
library initiative with the campus research community.
• Implementing and managing the Digital Asset Management system,
the current hosted repository SUNY -Dryad and the UB Institutional
Repository ( UBIR ).
• Developing a direction for an evolving technology strategy for
digital technologies, seeking ongoing input from key collaborators
at all levels of the libraries and throughout the university.
• Ensuring consistent IT support is provided for enterprise
applications and systems support across the libraries.
• Overseeing all information technology core end user services,
network operations, information security, library network
monitoring, and library systems.
• Collaborating closely with technology partners across the
campus including UB Information Technology ( UBIT ), Enterprise
Infrastructure Support ( EIS ), the Information Security Office (
ISO ), administrators, faculty and librarians.
• Overseeing the planning for departmental budget projections in
collaboration with the Libraries’ Unit Business Officer.

The impact you will have in this role :
The DDR (DTCC Data Repository) Senior Associate supports the Directors of Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer in all aspects of the derivatives compliance programs for DDR, DTCC's North American trade repository.

Individual reports to the Director of Compliance, who reports to the Chief Compliance Officer for DDR.
Your Primary Responsibilities :
• Act as primary monitor of recurring ( BAU ) regulatory reporting obligations in all jurisdictions that DDR operates
• Lead the preparation and submission of Compliance department regulatory filings (including financial filings, operational report filings, and the annual and periodic filing of registration materials.
• Coordinating the development of compliance related controls including, policies and procedures, training, monitoring and oversight, testing and reporting, with other groups within Compliance, as well as Audit, Legal, Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, ADM and other functions
• Responsible for ensuring DDR Compliance’s Metrics Tracker and any initiatives / projects reported at the departmental level are kept current.
• Assists in DDR's incident reporting process with regard to operational, technology, privacy and confidentiality breach incidents.
Review business action / remediation plans and liaise with ORM, BRM and business staff as appropriate
• Assist in the research and preparation of response to risk assessments and testing inquiries
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

• Act as primary monitor of recurring ( BAU ) regulatory reporting obligations in all jurisdictions that DDR operates
• Lead the preparation and submission of Compliance department regulatory filings (including financial filings, operational report filings, and the annual and periodic filing of registration materials.
• Coordinating the development of compliance related controls including, policies and procedures, training, monitoring and oversight, testing and reporting, with other groups within Compliance, as well as Audit, Legal, Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, ADM and other functions
• Responsible for ensuring DDR Compliance’s Metrics Tracker and any initiatives / projects reported at the departmental level are kept current.
• Assists in DDR's incident reporting process with regard to operational, technology, privacy and confidentiality breach incidents.
Review business action / remediation plans and liaise with ORM, BRM and business staff as appropriate
• Assist in the research and preparation of response to risk assessments and testing inquiries
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications :
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
